91 Windshield Replacement, What parts should I buy and questions and details.

I am getting my 91 coupe windshield replaced at 210,000 km's.

I am going to buy the upper fastener, because mine is torn in spots.
FASTENER, FR. WINDSHIELD (UPPER) 73152-SL0-013 - part 5

I am going to buy the upper molding, only because mine is weather stained and who knows how it will come off.
MOLDING, FR. WINDSHIELD (UPPER) 73151-SL0-023 - part 6

What else should I buy?

They talk about replacing the 2 rubber spacers as well.
Is this a must?

Do I need Defrost Panel Seals?

Do I need to buy a rubber dam?

Does the Headliner actually have to be taken out?

These are 1991 instructions, have things changed in technology since then?

Other than the glass itself, you will need to replace item 5 & 6.

I am not buying the glass from Acura.
My guy here is supplying the glass and installing for $380.00
The glass will be PPG or something like that....I'll let you know with full photos.

So I ask why won't you want to get the other pieces that I list that the manual asks for. I don't think the glass will come with these rubber dams attached to it.

Has windshield installs come along over the years that these parts are not needed?
