I thought that since so many people bought Advan RSII in the group buy it would be interesting to see what everybody will be choosing for tires. Please post brand and sizes along with wheel size. I bought 18X10+35 rears and 17X8+37. I have no idea what to put on and hope to get some ideas from this thread. Even if you don't have RSII your input is still welcome.

I have not received my wheels yet, but I got the same size and offset wheels as you did.
Tires:
Dunlop Star Spec Z1:
F - 215/40/17
R - 265/35/18

Falken 452. I drive mine daily so I need tires that will last but still do well on canyon drives. I get about 22k on fronts and 14k on rears. I have same size and offsets as yours.
F - 215/40/17
R - 275/35/18

Interesting.. Does the Street setup not rub front or rear?

People say that a 235/40 has terrible rub.

I think that's too much rubber for the street. It's a lot of extra size and weight but the compound is not as grippy so overall I doubt there is more grip over a smaller higher performance tire. I guess the benefit is in longevity of the tire, its cost and if you like the fat tire look, its look. The track tires I get. That's way beyond my driving ability but someone like 1K probably uses all of it. For the street I'm just not sure it's worth the headache. You are really increasing rolling resistance and weight with those sizes, negating the benefit of that ultra light wheel a bit.

I am not interested in ultimate performance tires for the street as I don't push my car hard enough on the street to merit the need. I use the track for that express purpose.
I am far more interested in my track set-up than my street set-up. I purchased these Sumitomos primarily because they were the size I was looking for and the price was very reasonable.
The fronts rub ever so slightly at full lock. If I did not have camber bushing giving me -3.2 deg neg camber I'm sure they would be even more of a problem.
My goal is to fit Hoosier R6 245/40ZR17s on the front. The fact that the 235 Sumi's are rubbing even slightly tells me that I will need a wider fender to accommodate the Hoosiers.
Btw,I just ordered the DF fenders.

Jeff the wheels look great but you have quite a gap in the fender well. Is it just the photo? What's your suspension setup? Do you have a side shot?

Thanks, regular OEM suspension setup. It does look like I am 4 wheeling. Lol... I am in the market looking for affordable (not brake the bank) coilovers since I am saving up for the CTSC GB.

Oh no wonder it looks like that. It is a huge gap. Well I see why you're waiting.

This looks Awesome Dave! Lets see a close-up of your BBK please?

Here. This Is the rear. The fronts look even better because the rotors look larger inside of a 17.
