Anyone else attending the American LeMans and Honda Indy 200 races Sat-Sun Aug. 7-8 at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course? Post up!
Watching yesterday's LeMans at Lime Rock Park really got me fired up

Still haven't decided....if I go, it will be on Sat. only....hoping the weather gives us a break....was at Putnam Park last weekend, and left at noon Sat. it was so hot and muggy:frown:

i wanna go, was just there this past weekend do nasa road racing, not with the nsx tho..

Yes. I have blocked off that weekend to make sure that I was not on-call.

I am planning to go, however, again the wife is choosing to stay at home.

Let me know if you will be going and perhaps we could caravan.

Judi and I will again be there as Flaggers, in fact quite a few locals are heading down to work the event.

Should be FUN

Hi Ray, Saturday would be good - man it was hot and humid that day in MI when you were at Putnam Park - don't blame you for bookin' out of there.

Im going to try. Should be fun!

Mebbe GTG at Mid Ohio at Patio 3-5 PM?

Going Fri PM, high class accomodations (NOT!!!) in Mansfield, OH. Be happy to glide down there, Koji, if Fri works for you..

im just trying to get tickets right now

Infield pkg passes were still available two weeks ago so hope you're IN!

My dad and I will be there, but not in the NSX.

Always look forward to seeing the "Fruit Jar Tech" guys from Muncie!

So maybe all-hands-on-deck can meet at party patio 3-5 PM at top of hill overlooking long straightaway into RH 120 degree (??) curve?

I'm still chuckling from last year's IRL Honda Indy 200 when Danica went into the Kitty Litter at that corner and the crowd went bongo.

Looks like I'm going to pass:frown: on this weekend at Mid Ohio....trying to run in the MOR-PCA DE on the 28th and 29th:smile:. If I'm going to deal with the heat & humidity, might as well abuse the car!
regards, Ray

i got two tickets from a friend of mine who works at honda. ill be there prob sunday or saturday

I'm surprised that the guys that ARE going, most aren't taking their cars... I guess with no corral though... what's the point? Yeah I'm really surprised this has come up this year with very little talk. This is usually something Brian and I look forward to all year. We book accommodations as soon as the schedule is released... but this year we didn't even talk about it. Maybe people are busier, maybe they're saving cash.. maybe NSX guys were just put off by how they were treated last year.

Either way, have a ton of fun. I'll miss it for sure!

Hey Kyle! We'll miss you and Brian this weekend - hope all is well.

I'll be driving the Imola, have an infield parking pass and gonna try to sneak in to either the Porscheplatz (pizz 'em off, eh) or Corvette corral area(s).
Looks as if the weather will be super (for a change).

Koji I'll be looking for you. Bringing red NSX? Infield pkg pass?

Patio 3-5 PM both days.

So where was everyone?

I spent all day Saturday from the AM practice sessions to the PM ALMS awards ceremony wandering the grounds.

Neal and Cindy I thought that I might run into you but I didn't know which patio you were referring to... I did enjoy a $10 cheeseburger on one of them.

Well, at least I hope everyone had fun. I did snap these two photos as proof of my having been there:

The black one was parked in the Corvette corral area! Revenge!

There was a black one with RYANSX for a license plate on Saturday and a yellow '02+ which I saw. I saw Neal's car parked with the vetts on Sunday.

We worked at Station 3 (top of the Keyhole) on Saturday for the ALMS race, and from Station 14 (entrance to the Carousel) for the IRL race on Sunday.
LOTS of fun, and very much appreciated the perfect weather!
Cindy worked as a Flagger as well (Fri-Sun) so had no time to hang out during the day with fellow NSX'ers either.
As much as I'm an Acura fan in ALMS, I was really happy to see the Dyson team score the first LMP-class win for Mazda...........those guys more than deserved it
