Another example of the downward spiral of society. When are we going to stop allowing finger pointing and force people to be accountable for their own actions and decisions? I see it and read about it almost everyday, someone else is always to blame. Four lives lost and the "consequence" he has to pay is being separated from his family, that's some funky math.

On a separate note, I've traveled to TX multiple times for work in the past. Good people and good food, no complaints here!

Not mentioned in that article is the fact that the families of the victims are suing the teen's families for millions, as noted here:

Sometimes the civil courts offer an opportunity for redress when the criminal courts fail. (As OJ learned.)

I am no way defending the sentence or the Judge BUT I read somewhere that if he did get a Jail sentence that he might be able to get out in a few years since he was underaged. Putting him on Probation for 10 years means ANY screw up while he is over age 18 will lead to automatic Jail time.
