ATTN: 1991 owners! (1991 registry)

2584 Red/black. RBilder here in Nebraska has 2585. He says his car was built in May 91. I always assumed mine rolled off the assembly line just before his.

Like Nukem said.
002585 Red/Black MT
Mfg Date 5/91 (can be found on the driver door by the seat, top line, the white information sticker with bar code.)
Sold new June 20, 1991 Niello Acura Sacramento, CA

Interesting mine sold new in CA and I believe Nukem's was sold new in KY and all these years since end up together in Nebraska.

Side-bar 2: I turned 35 the month my NSX was manufactured. Geez, I wonder if it were built ON my exact birthday. Anyone know how to ascertain the exact date it rolled off?

VIN# 002698

So far I've got info on 30 cars and so far the VINs increase in order following the production dates. I think this is how most thought it was anyway, but I have had people tell me otherwise. The only exceptions are the non US cars. This still makes it hard to figure them in and I still want to know how early the first production dates actually are!

FWIW, I've never seen a Japanese NSX with earlier than 9/90 build date, and any parts you find for the car has that as the earliest production as well.

With some US cars being as early as 7/90, I would suggest that the big push was for the American market.

Here's a 10/90 Japanese NSX for sale in Hiroshima right now with chassis number #1000262 .

Also, why does my vin sticker say a curb weight of 3550 pounds???? I thought these cars were way lighter?

ATTN: 1991 owners!!! I want to put together another spreadsheet to find the pattern (if any) between VIN, exterior color, interior color, and manufacture date. I had one going before, but old computer crapped out. I've seen a few other lists floating around so I'll pull info from them also. It's something I've wanted to pull together and analyze for a while now.

If you own a 1991 just give the last 6 digits of the VIN, manufacture date, and interior/exterior colors. I'll post the spreadsheet in a few days if there is enough info.

When are we going to see the spreadsheet?

When are we going to see the spreadsheet?

Here is what I have so far. Pretty established pattern, but the more we get the more it helps.

002543, 04/91, BB/Ivory. Note that I have the Acura eVRM printout for my car, and there is an entry that says:

Assembly Frame Off Time: 5/7/1991

I wonder what that means exactly. Retail sale date was 7/15/91.

Also has the engine number - I only saw this recently and didn't know we can have "matching numbers" vehicles. Tranny number is not logged though.
