Computer Controls

Someone told me that this guy had replaced his center console and/or HVAC controls with a computer. And the driver or user can control things through the computer. Can I find out who did it? And what did they use? Can I see some pics? Thanks

Yeah, this is what it's like..
But I am trying to fit in my Eclipse, and I thought you needed to make a custom setup.
Someone told me I could accomplish this with some linear actuators and a programmable logic controller. What else would I need?
