I was shocked when I saw this huge crack running down the keyway slot of my balancer. I never dropped it or mishandled it while it was off. Car only has 46K on it. Anyone see a failure in this way?

This is the first time I've heard of a failure like that, usually they just get old and the rubber layer delaminates. Good thing you caught it!
Scary…I need to do my TB/WP etc…20k miles ago…but it’s been 11 years. The crank pulley is for sure on the list.
