Different views of my NSX! NOT WORK SAFE

While I love the hre wheel and the attention to detail, I just cannot get past the chrome finish. It draws the eye away from the radical body styling of the nsx. Kind of why people put 22" inch chrome wheels on suv's. It draws the eye away from poorly designed aerodynamic vehicles. Those wheels are sick, no doubt but the chrome face takes away from the body of the car. Especially with a nsx in blue finish. Throw some diamond black wheels on that beast.
Something more subtle would excite the eye more. Just my own personal opinion. My car had chrome lowenhart br-5 ,3 piece wheels when I bought it. The wheels are awesome but the finish is too Kanye West for me. They sit in boxes though, awaiting a complete refinish while I beat up my lm knock off wheels to the ground:biggrin:

The second set? Yes indeed. Much better then the first set of wheels.

When you compare the three spa yellows in the picture, the one that stands out to me is the one with darker wheels. My eye is drawn more to the styling of the car rather then the wheels that "should be" on an s class amg. Makes me wish my car was spa yellow.

Thanks Guys!

Wow those look great! Thanks again. cheers!

Thank you, They have a good home! At least you know where they are in case you ever want them back some day....

Indeed the 2nd set with the Silver Centers look great, really happy with the way they change the car.
But will always be able to swap them back to the 547's or OEM when looking for something different.

I don't think its chrome finish. I believe its high polish if I'm correct.

Yep! High Polish then Clear Coated on the 547's.
You can always tell Polished by the White reflection rather than the darker Black reflection that Chrome gives.

Love the wheels! They are still my favorite for an NSX (shocking) and look fantastic on your car.

Thank you! Quite a compliment considering that you were the 1st owner of them and the 2nd owner of them is above as well.
You did great picking them out in the 1st place. They are still in Amazing Condition especially after getting the lips re-polished!

Couldn't resist a couple more Pictures! Love the Look! Need some Big Brakes now behind them:cool:

I actually bought them used in the marketplace at least 8 years ago. So, they've been around.

However, I had the centers powder coated to match prym8's car. I'm not sure what your bbk options will be, but I went with a racingbrake upsized rotor kit. I thought it looked okay, but I think they look just fine with your current brakes.

Thanks for the info cmc140, maybe some day the original owner will find them here as well
I was amazed at how near perfect the powder coating was. Just a couple of pin sized chips that are
not noticable unless you get right up on them....

As for the Big Brakes, from the research thus far I've found that StopTechs can be acommodated by
the 18" & 19" HRE's. Still looking for more back up! Take care and stay tuned for the future updates.
I've been sitting on Exterior mods for over a year and a half in my garage .. LOL!

Take care!

Terry

A few pics from last week!

Been a little while since we've had some decent weather here in DFW...
Here's a few pics I took last Friday at the office ... Still puts a Smile:biggrin: on my face everytime I jump in!

^^^Missing seeing the 547's but I like these as well. Very clean as usual.

Looks amazing Terry, one of my favorite spa yellow, nicely done with the suspension and wheels.

Thanks Brother's!

Thank you, I'm still adjusting to them myself after years with the 547's. But the 547's are at HRE currently
getting a Fresh Polish & Clear Coat  They deserve it after Rolling on 2 NSX's for the past 13 years.

Looks amazing Terry, one of my favorite spa yellow, nicely done with the suspension and wheels.

Thank you! Appreciate the compliments. Still so much to add / try out to see if I like some other parts on it!

I've had a stockpile of parts to try out / building up for the past 2 years ... I just need to pull the trigger and get it done
then if I don't like certain parts, return it to the way it is now or keep bits and pieces on it. Just hate the thought of down
time while installing and painting parts :frown: Can't imagine not being able to just go in the garage and pull the cover off then
take a quick drive!

Some of the parts I've Stockpiled, Most Recently the V2RFL & Resonated Test Pipes:

Yes, I promised him I would make him some sound clips / tube vids in progression:

1. Current V2
2. Current V2 with Resonated Test Pipes
3. V2RFL with Stock Cats
4. V2RFL with Resonated Test Pipes

I have some heavy travel over the next 2 weeks but hope to install upon my return
for which I will post the vids as well.

^^Can I ask where you got the heel pad from? Looks cool.

Man! Those parts were a whole other ordeal to obtain... They were from a Group Buy here on Prime:
http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showt...minum-goods-for-your-NSX?highlight=Autovation

It took months to finally receive them all and I still believe there are people that have not received
their parts even today. The Sill Plates were not manufactured with the step necessary for a good fit,
therefore I'm working on a few ways to make a recessed mounting plate to accommodate them.

I tried to work with the guy Anthony for a solution for all and he stopped corresponding with me via
Email & Prime PM, therefore why do all of the fitment work for him?

The parts were well made ..... He would have done well he if he responded and just made the parts
as he had promised the Prime Members.

You've been holding out on us...tsk...tsk....tsk! :)

I might need your expertise in setting up a photo shoot soon!

Thx!

Hey.... Nice Parts. Let me know please how the mirrors fit and Look please. Thinking about a buy too

Will do, hope to begin getting everything fitted, painted and installed in the next month or two.

LOL! Just a bit lazy and as mentioned, I really enjoy just looking out the window to a nice day
and just putting the key in to go. Any time on the Photo Shoot....

Gave these old Wheels a Spa Treatment!

Someone is going all out huh? once you start you can't stop. lol

Yes Indeed! Hope to get cracking on these parts / installs in the near future.

Had to share some pics as I was really happy with the way the ReFinish turned
out at HRE for my 547's. After 14 Years, I finally sent them off to HRE and they
got a New Finish / Polish & Clear applied to them and just came back home this
past Friday! They look just like they did when I 1st Received them in 2001!

HRE has always been a top notch outfit to work with. The quality and workmanship
always amazes me!

PRIDE V2 RFL Installed!

Finally got around to installing the Pride V2 RFL.

Very nice Exhaust Notes and not as Loud as I had anticipated.
Quality is as usual ... no fitment issues, bolted right up!

I think one of my colleagues put it best...
"When you look at an NSX, that's what it's supposed to sound like":)
LOVE IT!

Not the greatest quality Video / shot with an Iphone but you'll get the
sound inside and out, top on and top off!

Some Pics of it next to the Standard V2.

Taken Samurai still has a few pics to share!

Well, the need to get back active on Prime has certainly arrived!
We all need to make time to get back on here and support it!
Pretty funny that there was a time in the mid 2000's that the
mods felt the need to add "Not Work Safe to the Thread Title!"
By today's standards, this thread is super tame!

The ease of posting at the click of a button and attaching a picture
on FB has taken many of us away! I'm certainly guilty 100% of this!

So, I'll begin picking up where I left off with some pics...

Here's a nice group shot to begin with from a couple of years ago:biggrin:
