DIY Wheel alignment

Nice, that beats the "2 jackstands with a string between them" method we used on a friend's race car last weekend

Wow that's quite the fixture! Well done.

I bought one of these - http://www.spcperformance.net/PROD_DIR/PERF_TOOL_DIR/SPCPerf_TOOLFASTSM.html. I added the toe kit. Worked great, cars I've aligned with it track straight and I've seen no tire wear to indicate a problem. Give it a thumbs up!

Yes, Being fitted to the car you can roll the car back & forth after an adjustment to remove the sticktion(a word?)in the tyres without needing to readjust the strings/jackstands.
I tried to make it as adjustable as possible so it could be used on other cars.

all i can say is above and beyond a way to save 15 minutes and 60 bucks at the dealer.

nice job.

That jig is pretty awesome. The only thing is that it assumes a completely straight frame / mounting point, but I guess it's all just used as a point of reference anyhow. Nice work!

Nice tool. How precise is the water gauge at near to zero degree values? The reason I ask is because I've seen a simpler version but the precision was very low between 0-1 degrees. It could have been 0.2 or 0.5 or anything in between. Besides the advantages of DIY does it have any negative points?
