Few months ago I purchased a single exit exhaust from Taitec (GT009) with this I lost my OEM rear valence. After a few couple of months of research I found the my only options for a valence was the Taitec Gt Diffuser which i like, talking to some vendors I was told that Downforce made a replica of this diffuser made out of Carbon Fiber instead of Carbon Kevlar. I looked for some pictures of their diffuser just to have a better idea how much difference the DF had compared to the original one, for my surprise I found a couple low res pictures from it but since it was a replica made by Downforce i didn't think it too long and bought it. After 40 days down the road after a bunch of emails back and forth (Downforce was very busy at that time with SEMA i was told) I received my Diffuser and found myself with a very poor made piece of carbon fiber that didn't resemble nothing to the original one.
1.The Center Cf part its attached to the other to side pieces using a plate that connect both pieces using 10 bolts, in this case there is a extension from the center cf piece that replaces the attachment plate, limitating the stability of the diffuser.
2.The canards or however you guys wanna call them seems like they were made for completely different part, the offer a horrible gap between the two pieces.
3.The two side pieces that have to be attach to the center part of the diffuser are bent right on the lip where the center piece has to bolt on to the side pieces. The actual edge of the lips are not straight which makes them impossible to attach to center piece of the diffuser without adding a lot of stress to the parts almost to the point that seems like the'll crack if i even try to put the bolt on them.
I'm very disappointed about the quality of the part, it makes me think that they made the part just to get my order out of the way cause of the SEMA.
If you have a center exit exhaust or something that wont follow the OEM style I wouldn't recommend this diffuser at all, replica or not its not a good quality part.
Ill be sending this back on Monday and start looking for a Taitec one.
