This "opinion" is from several sources. Other message boards, an Acura mechanic and the following site. Remember, this is just my opinion with no real scientific evidence.
I'll say.
Just to sum up what you're saying...
1. You claim that this opinion comes from other message boards, an Acura mechanic, and a website. The website that you cite tests oil filters that are not made for the NSX, and does no testing of NSX oil filters. And the other message boards have nothing to do with the NSX, since no such charges have been made on this board or on other NSX-based boards. And we have never heard this about the NSX oil filters from any of the Acura mechanics who are most familiar with the NSX. Therefore, none of the sources you use have any knowledge of, or about, the NSX, or the oil filters for the NSX. So for all we know, the ones that are sold for the NSX in the States, in Canada, and in Japan may very well all be identical.
2. You claim that Acura has changed the sourcing of their filters, and as "proof", you cite an article that points out differences between filters sold in the U.S., Canada, and Japan - but the article makes no mention to any changes in the sourcing of these filters over time. So therefore, I would conclude that the OEM filters for the NSX are probably coming from the same source that they always have.
You can believe whatever you like. I'll keep buying OEM oil filters without any reservations whatsoever.
