fog lights installation, help!!

Hi

trying to hook-up a set of aftermarket fogs.

few questions

1. do i tap the power straight from the battery or are there better sources in the car??

2. how do i bring wires into the car (inside)? i guess i have to look carefully in the firewall for any openings, right???

3. noticed that european versions have fogs installed from the factory. Do US versions have 'pre-wire' for fogs at least?


sorry if these are stupid questions, but i have no clue when it comes to electronics
