roadandtrack.com said:The 2020 season will be the first that sees the German DTM series and Japan's Super GT adhere to a unified set of regulations, dubbed "Class One." This will allow the two series to compete against each other in a number of shared races, since the cars will be equivalent.
A major part of the regs relates to the layout of the cars. Every car needs to be front engined, rear-wheel drive, and powered by a 2.0 liter turbo four. That engine is already a big change, since none of the cars that compete in either series–BMW M4, Audi RS5, Aston Martin Vantage, Toyota Supra, Nissan GT-R, Honda NSX–run that sort of engine on the road.
