This is a post of a commercial nature but since it could very well be a "dream job" for someone on this message board, hopefully it'll be tolerated.

We are currently seeking automotive enthusiasts with the following qualifications seeking to break into the video game testing industry!

Audio Tester:

Do you live and breathe cars? Does the sound of a well-tuned engine make you tingle? Can you distinguish between the sound of 4,5,6,8,10 and 12 cylinder engines? I am looking for a uniquely-talented individual to work with the Quality Assurance team for a new racing game targeting one of the world’s most popular video game platforms.

Qualifications: Applicant must possess strong problem-solving skills, be car and audio knowledgeable and able to learn quickly. The ability to identify general make/model or at least engine type solely by the sound of the car is essential for this position - you will be tested. Prior software testing experience and/or a demonstrated aptitude for testing is required. Sound design and/or production audio skills, especially audio fundamentals & terminology, are desired.

Responsibilities: Executing detailed test cases with an emphasis on car engine, environmental and other sound effects, music and audio system functionality, writing & submitting detailed bug reports, basic crash debugging, and bug regression.

The job is located in Redmond, WA

Vehicle Tester:

Are you a gearhead with proven software testing skills? Do you devour magazines, books, videos and television programs in your quest to learn all there is to know about the world of cars? Do you memorize acceleration times, top speed, horsepower and torque figures just for the fun of it? Can you identify cars out of the corner of your eye or with just a glimpse of a single distinctive feature? I am looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented self-starter to work with the Quality Assurance team for a new racing game targeting one of the world’s most popular video game platforms.

Qualifications: Applicant must possess strong problem-solving skills, be highly car-knowledgeable and able to learn quickly. Prior software testing experience and/or a demonstrated aptitude for testing is required.

Responsibilities: Executing detailed test cases with an emphasis on car specifications, performance, driving characteristics, visual details, physics, and general car functionality, writing & submitting detailed bug reports, basic crash debugging, and bug regression.
