I've seen this discussed before but would someone help me out here. My engine idle speed varies up and dowm when the engine is cold. I've read where people suggest spraying carb cleaner into the intake. I tried this but really didn't exactly know where to spray. I removed the air cleaner and the rubber accordian connection to the intake. I then held the butterfly open and sprayed into the intake. What area am I supposed to hit with the spray? All I could see was the butterfly and basically a big hole. I sprayed quite a bit of cleaner in there and let it evaporate before reassembling the intake. The idle has improved but I'm still not completely happy. It still is not real smooth until it's warmed up.
