Illegaly Parked Exotics

I guess its OK to be racist on NSX Prime, since it's so well-applauded. Let's start throwing out racial epitaphs towards whites, blacks, Asians, and Hispanics too while we're at it. There are horrible things about every culture, and I don't condone it...I'm very anti-slavery type treatment and I hope those ba$tards are punished. But to sanction and label races the way you are doing is nothing short of disgusting.

As for the middle America comment--I didn't intend that to ppl living that at-large, just that persons such as Mr.Captain give them a bad name. As for HIJACK, i have no problem jacking a thread to speak up against RACISM.

I meant that I was hijacking the thread not you.

I for one like seeing these cars parked up front getting preferantial treatment and being on display for all to enjoy. There are bigger problems in the world.

There are plenty of websites now where you can post pics of the offender in action such as parked in handicape spaces or taking two spots.

LOL, I have a habit of taking a picture when I see a car in two spots. Here are some of my most recent catches.

Yeah, they aren't exotics. There's a thread on another board where we spot & post pics of these guys. What websites are there?

I've known some people that have parked in handicap spots briefly because it offered more space against door dings that would otherwise be more likely when parked in the midst of other cars...
It's a quick risk assessment that has to be made before doing so.
I've done it on occasion (moral police please don't flame or lecture me ;) )
Those that park in two spots however

off topic:

That truly was a hijack  as it really had nothing to do with CL65Captain's derogatory insult towards middle eastern/Arabic folks. Nevertheless an interesting deviation with regards to real camel jockey's who now receive some protection via underage labor bans implemented by the UAE and Qatar. That's a start.

With regards to Mr. CL65Captain's racial epitaphs...well, certain people just have had bad experiences with certain foreigners perhaps and for some reason their environment and mental capacity has not allowed them to grow
beyond their narrow view of the world. Curiously some of them(CL65Captain:confused:) will buy and drive a foreign made and designed car(NSX) that was made with the majority of energy derived from oil (over 80%) sourced from islamic countries.

With NSXPrime being an international community, it is sad to see that some feel the need to spew unnecessary ethnic/racial vitriol

Um, being part of a society means respecting the simple laws that may affect other people.

You see, my Dad cannot walk, so when my Mom pulls up looking for a handicapped spot (which has a non permitted vehicle parked in it because some selfish person feels it's no big deal as long as they don't park too long  ) she has to go through a huge hassle to be able to get him out of the van.

Two spots I could give a crap about but you feel it's fine to park in a handicapped spot when there are maybe 3 for a supermarket.

At least everyone isn't like you, otherwise my parents would never find an open handicapped spot.

Realize there are other people in the world who actually do need those spots next time.

That thought does not escape me.

True. I think the root of this is selfishness

Washington University in St. Louis. Yes, he just left it there... wasn't worth his time to go down to the impound lot, wait in line, pay the fines and get it back when he could just make a phone call and have a new car delivered to this driveway. Believe it or not. He had a BMW M1 that he put a small dent in, so he made a phone call and they came and picked it up and exchanged it with a new Lotus Esprit. Then after a month or two the truck came back again and picked up the Esprit and dropped off a 911T. Never ending cycle... I think he changed cars more than I changed underwear. And it was like that with everything... as his whim changed so did his possessions and women. Never seemed to be happy .

I wonder what the heck happened to the Testarossa?? You should have paid the back fines and snatched up the car!! They were probably shocked when nobody came to get the car....EVER!! What the heck was his family into that he had that kind of cash??

We had a big news case about this here a little while ago.

A (hot) wealthy, wellknown lady parked her Cayenne illegally. The police officer (police can also give parkingtickets here if it's a public parkering spot) saw who walked out of the car and thought "it doesn't matter, she can afford it" and didn't give her a ticket. Massive protests....

They SHOULD have protested!! The fact that she can afford the ticket is the EXACT reason they should have had no problem ticketing her!! Simply giving fines to people that will then have to skip feeding their kids for the week to pay the fine is ridiculous!! Outrageous!!

You don't want to be lectured but you don't mind doing it yourself eh?
Park in a handicap spot and you pontificate about ethic/racial vitriol?
Ain't that special.

  all you want.
Having parked in a handicap spot and admitting it may make me a selfish person at that time, but it certainly does not make me a bigot.

I find it interesting that the majority stays silent or just laughs it off when there's someone posting ethnic slurs ("Camel Jockey" , "Hoosier French"...).
However when someone posts he street raced, helped a friend circumvent an incident with the law or parked in a non-designated spot- the keyboards start ticking and few can laugh it off  Like you stated, there are bigger problems in the world(bigots, racists...)

How long have you been on registered, 5-6 months.... surely you are aware of the 'Search' button by now. You can find years and years worth of threads that discuss the subject matter the majority "stays silent" on.

If you care to take the analysis one step further, take a look at the title of this thread.... the 'majority' will ignore this thread because they don't care to discuss the topic from the title. The concept of illegally parked cars is another topic that has already been discussed several times in years past.

That maybe so. However the time that I've been on is irrellevant to the subject matter. Thank you kindly for the 'search' button option reminder. If I wanted to do a search on previously posted "Illegally Parked Exotics" threads, I would have done so by now. This recent one is here and active now. That doesn't mean that the subject can't or shouldn't be discussed again just because other members have discussed it in the past.

Now, with regards to the off-topic ethnic slurs. Why keep silent??

Thank you...there is a voice of reason here, and I respect that. It's always fashionable to bash on ethnicities, like they're the flavor of the month. It's sad, but these are the same kind of guys who would celebrate humiliation of blacks in the 60's/KKK days and before, Jews in Nazi Germany, or interned Japanese during WWII. The even worse part is that the majority accepts it because its en vogue, and even cool to bash on those with Middle Eastern origins.

Yes I know, I know.

That's why we have 8 marks on our driving licenses now. Before rich people could speed, get caught, pay the ticket and speed more. Now we get 2 marks for speeding or driving on red light etc, and when we get 8 marks - they take the license away. Each mark stays for 2 years before it erases. It's a pretty strict system but it does keep people a little more calm now. I know of a couple of guys wiht 6 marks now, they are surely playing by the rules in the traffic in fear of loosing their license. It works.

Side note....anyone on this thread not actually discussing the TOPIC of exotics parked illegally, please take your bashings elsewhere. There is a place for them....just not on this thread. PM's exist for a reason!! I do not care who started it, or who took who's sandwich....go argue somewhere else. Thank you.

Some more of these could help reduce the issue
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/hellybellybelly/futurama.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

As suggested by some before, as long as people can afford the fine some will continue to park illegally. Those that cannot afford them will probably adjust sooner than later.

Yeah, just like it's fashionable to bash on people who watch Fox News, among other things. I watch Fox News, and according to your first post I must be a racist. While there are definitely racists out there (and I don't think that "camel jockey" was appropriate at all), the generalizations you made about certain groups of people would qualify you as being prejudiced as well. He who lives in glass houses, what's good for the goose, pot calling the kettle black, etc.......

Personally, I don't care what your color, sex, religion, or sexual preference is. If you park illegally in your car (especially by taking more than one space or parking in a handicapped spot), you're going to get crap from me.

So who on here would or has actually done something when they saw an illegally parked car? Passive or active. (Passive would include posting on an on-line forum about it, no?)

I couldn't agree more.

My father was left handicapped after his stroke. We often rely on handicapped parking to get him in and out of places. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing a-holes park in handicapped spots when they don't have placards or plates simply because it's convenient.

If I catch you doing that, you will get crap from me.

Well, as I demonstrated earlier, I take pictures of badly parked cars and post them online. We have quite a thread going on a different board I frequent where many of us contribute.

I would never do anything to damage someone else's car.

I have.

To be honest, I have at times let my mouth get the better of me. I am that person that will say something to someone when they park in a handicapped parking spot without a placard or plate.

Normally, my comments shame the selfish SOB's into moving their cars. However, twice it's ended up in shouting matches. Once, we almost came to blows.

Is is worth it? No. Do I wish I was mature enough to hold my tongue and simply let the a-hole live the rest of his live comfortable in the knowledge that he's an un-mitigated sumbitch? Yes.

But I have a personal stake in this kind of crappy behavior.

Imagine having to park out in the boonies and help your father into a store in his wheelchair across a crowded and busy parking lot because some selfish assmonkey decided that the fact that he drives an expensive car warrants him being able to park wherever he wants?

I'm getting pissed just typing about it now.
