It was said not too long ago that the Stig is actually different Formula 1 racers over time. It's not ONE person. In fact, in the same season, there may be 4 - 5 different Stigs.

I'll try to see if i can find it again.

You can't possibly take that seriously.

You can't ask different people to test different cars and have them all on the same Lap time board, as one of the most popular show on TV, you need a standard/bench mark before testing cars, and Stig (One person) is the standard/benchmark.

Jeremy Clarkson always tells his F1 guests that they take different race lines than Stig; therefore, Stig can not possibly be a ex-F1 driver, or multiple person.

I thought that at first, but really, how many F1 guests come on the show? There haven't been that many i believe, and he does mention that one or two of them do take the same lines...

In the last episode, they had Lewis Hamilton i believe his name is, the newest rookie, and his lines were nearly identical to the Stig, and he was .4 slower than the Stig in wet and oily conditions compared to the Stigs dry condition.

Or is it Alonso?
