Is there luxury tax on a used nsx?

Quick question: Is there supposed to be a luxury tax on a used nsx if it costs over $40k?

I don't think so. It usually only applies to cars bought brand new. The same is true with the gas guzzler tax.

There is not any luxury tax on pre-owned vehicles. The Federal luxury tax will be over with on 1/1/03.

As Brad stated there is NO luxury tax on a used car. The tax is paid only ONCE (when the car is new) and that is it . . . irregardless of the value of the automobile when it is sold again on the secondary market.

I realize that but was just wanting to know for personal knowledge what the exact dollar figure was.

The exact figure for luxury tax is 3% over $40,000 to what ever the selling price of the new car is.
