As many of you know I've had this car forever and it has been through many stages. I decided to go a different route most recently... I've been driving the car alot lately so thought going with an oem-like setup would be optimal. Still have the CCW's and all the Advan Model 5's though

I've been in search for 02-05 wheels for quite a while, and thanks to arista5 for giving me the heads up on the NSX-R Reps in the for sale section!!

I was able to score them and ordered brand new Yokohama S-Drives in 02-05 factory sizes: 215/40-17 and 255/40-17

Unfortunately the center caps were destroyed in shipping, but I test fit and ordered a full set of AP2 S2000 center caps which fit like OEM. I will be painting them to match and adding logos.

I also have 15mm front spacers and 25mm rear spacers I considered using, although these are more aggressive than regular 02-05 NSX wheels. They have just been refinished and completely change the look.

I am torn whether to leave them gunmetal, or refinish the wheels in championship white?

Some recent pics with the NSX-R rep gunmetals:

 hahahaha She's a driver!! But in all seriousness, it got a full detail this weekend inside/out including a full polish, clay, and buff!

I love the way the white looks, but I say if you do the white wheels might as well go with the white housings to complete the look. White oem wheels, white housings, lowered on spacers would be perfect.

+1!

I wondered what mine would look like on white NSXR styles wheels.

Looks great as is but I'm really liking the White wheels with the White Head lights!

I love your car and I've had white wheels on my nsx

I say leave them gunmetal. White has drawbacks on the wheels. They are always dirty. To me they dont look enough better in white to justify the hassle. Nsx wheels came in gun metal /washi grey). So it isn't a question of correctness.

I voted for gunmetal... But what I would really like to see is black rims and black headlights... Keep the black/green theme you have going on...

This is exactly why I'm torn... Great point raised Tom. I do like both looks but if the point in doing these wheels was driveability and more practicality, having constant dirty white wheels may be going in the opposite direction.

White wheels make your NSX look like a clown car.

Terrible IMO. You have black accents on the car and the wheels should flow with this styling.

Seriously? Green and White?

52.7%/47.2% Wow prime is split!!!

I was all for the white, but am still torn in keeping them clean.

Also, I was thinking if I were to stay grey it goes better with the black roof and accents as mentioned.

Maybe the Championship white would go better with a color matched roof/white headlights.

Few more shots from today, the grey is growing on me. Center caps will be here this week.

White is a powerful and good looking color for wheels, but IT IS a pain to keep clean. You can get away with dirty gunmetal wheels for a lot longer than white. If you plan on daily driving, then I would keep them gunmetal. If you carried a cloth to clean it, that means bending over and swiping a minimum of 28 pies to clean the spokes after every drive that involve some stop&go traffic. If you are disciplined and like that sort of stuff, then perhaps it wouldn't bother you too much.

I also think that the gunmetal matches and compliments your green/black combo better. White wheels will always stand out on any car (that is the idea), but even more so when dirty

I vote white. Def. makes it pop. But this guy  does make a point that it might not go so well with the black accents.

White on there looks way better than the gun metal. but i'm not sure it would go well with the black roof top :frown:

i must be an outcast compared to everyone else here but have you considered a lighter shade of silver (ala the silver finish on oem advan avs5)?

i personally felt that the overall color scheme with your CCW's looked really pimp; and timeless.

i do think the white wheels/white headlights do look good but its one of those looks that you can grow out of quickly (not as timeless; perhaps a tad overstyled). IMHO of course, as you know i am a huge fan of your car.
