One of my best friends is an avid video game collector; about the only machine he is missing is the Atari 7800. I hoping to find one to give him for a christmas gift,

BUT! I know nothing about this game.

I thought EBay would be the best place to find one and I’ve posted a few links on a couple auctions.

I would greatly appreciate any input.

I may still have one in a box back at my parents. What do you want to know other than the thing came out right before the NES, and as a result saw a very quick death.

Holy crap! Look at those prices! I would think this thing could be had for $25 by now. Good luck with that.

Thats exactly what I thought, I wasn't expecting to spend $100.00
I'm just hesitant to buy one sight unseen and find out I bought junk.

How much do you want to spend, I think I still have mine in the basement. I believe I have a few games with it too.

Just went and looked, I've got it. Have pole position II, Super Huey, Super skateboarding, California Games, Crossbow, Rampage, and I think Ms. Pacmag. Has two controllers, some original video game boxes as well. If you are interested pm me.

The beauty of the 7800 was it was backwards compatible. You could play all the new 7800 games, plus the games from the 5200 and the 2600. I don't think I have mine laying around the house anymore or I would have given it to you. I'll check tonight and if I find it, I'll send you a PM. If not, good luck, they can be kinda hard to come by.

Wait, now that I think about it, it was only backwards compatible with the 2600. I seem to recall the 5200 games were wider than the 2600 and 7800 games.....

5200 games stunk anyway...
