Just replaced the antenna mast on the NSX and it couldn't have been easier!
No, I didn't drive into a car wash with it up, but I rarely use the radio and on this occasion I back the car into the garage with it up. I have a lift so the clearance wasn't there! Replacing the mast was as easy as pulling out the old bent one and sliding the new one with the teeth of the plastic inner facing the back of the car with the radio on. Turn off the radio and it goes back down. Tighten your nut on the fender and you're done!

I wish I could say the same. The last 4-5 inches gets stuck every time. I took apart the assembly and removed the drive gear so that I could hand feed the antenna down to get a feel for what the motor is up against. Turns out that the feed line or the feed line radial spool binds up at that point every time. If I back it out a 1/4 inch then continue to feed it goes in with normal resistance.
