Hi Guys

I'm thinking ahead to mid-year the cooler weather, would be fun to take a couple of weeks and see a bit more of Australia in the NSX.

Last year we explored country NSW - Jenolan Caves (you drive through a CAVE to get to the hotel / car park. And I thought tunnels sounded good!!), Bathurst (yes, I did some laps, at 60km/h), open day at 'The Dish' in Parks, the Warrambungles, Dubbo (zoo), then a few days in a little cottage near Port Macquarie.

All very good and no dirt roads etc. The challenge is figuring out another trip where a lack of dirt road capability isn't going to ruin things.

Any suggestions??

Maybe if we get some good ideas going it might be useful for others too!

PS. This reminds me, the #34 Oxley Hwy for 100km west of Wauchope near Port Macquarie is one of the best roads EVER. Winding up and down hills through rainforest, perfectly smooth, lots of rock walls for echoes, corners spaced out just right for a NSX, no traffic. Roads like this are roads we all need to know about!

Qld , Sommerset Dam road , gut wrenching corners for 15KMS , much G-force fun

Qld Mt Glorious rd
Mt Tambourine
Peachester
Cunninghams gap
Cairns road to Mareeba (holy crap)

NSW , Road to Dorrigo from Pacific Highway South of Coffs Harbour , Amazing drive 2 giant waterfalls flow under the road and out the other side .
Mt Canobolous Orange , Used be dirt road , should be sealed now .
Janoalan caves road a bit scary .

Pretty much any road that crosses the great dividing range is a fun drive . I cross the Toowoomba range everyday on the way to work . Used to be fun when it was 100Km Zone , now 70 and Mr Plod lives on it

Hi OzzieJohn

As a suggestion heading south from Sydney towards Bowral and then turning towards the coast has some great roads to drive and places to vist. If you are feeling realy enthusiastic you can make a detour to Goulburn and spend a day at Wakefield race track .

Regards
Simon

Just out of curiosity, roughly how many NSXes are in Australia?

Last trip we organised was 3000km's to Edan a trip from Adelaide to Melb. down through South Gippsland to Edan NSW. No video on that trip but just as memorable.

Hi Les, I stumbled across the Aussie Exotics videos a few months back, those trips looked like a lot of fun.

Unfortunately I will be in the UK & Hong Kong on the days of the May Tassie trip but would love to hear about anything else you guys plan.

Oh, the links = "bandwidth limit exceeded" at the moment - maybe all will be working again come 1st April?

I'll be more proactive in letting everyone know about future runs/events.
