HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

What better way to break in 2009 than to start talking about this year's NSXPO!

Details will come in due course, but the planning committee has worked extremely hard getting the two hotels and the track ironed out.

It is time to start talking about it so you all can start planning!

Dates: Sept 24th to Sept 29th
Social Hotel Sept 24th to Sept 27th: Toronto Westin Prince. HERE. Photos HERE

On Sunday Sept 27th, those attending the track events will move to a hotel close to the race track. The track event will be held Monday Sept 28th and Tuesday Sept 29th.

Race Track: Mosport International Raceway. AWESOME TRACK! It is HERE.
Here is a video of me lapping on it. It has fantastic verticals, tricky corners and an incredible motorsport history. This track is not to be missed.

The track hotel is about 15 minutes away from Mosport in Bowmanville, HERE.

There is no need to call any hotel to book yet. We are putting this information out there so that people can plan to attend, and because we are EXCITED!!!!

This is going to be an incredible event! We have a great agenda planned within Toronto for the social events, one that we have put a great deal of thought into making sure it is fun for everyone.

So, everyone needs to write the dates into your calendars and to start learning how to speak Canadian, eh, because, for the first time in its history, NSXPO is going international.

Y'all are coming to Toronto in September!

I can't wait to see Dave & Stu both on the track at the same time! The trash talk & excuses (from one of them anyway) will be worth it!

See everyone there!

Stu is king of "Im was lapping 1 minute flat" based upon the good-ol Ass'O'Meter. Im the only one with evidence!

I guarantee you that on those days, Stu will either be:

1) "Instructing" so we wont be on the track at the same time,
2) Entertaining in his suite (in a gay way), or
3) Have 4 blown turbos in that PINK German POS he drives.

:wink:

So, during intermission can I rip around the track on my race bike and show you how it's really done:biggrin: Or maybe just ride on the track at the same time and use you as moving pylons??

You a bully!:biggrin:

Great since Toronto is only 4hours away I'll be down for this one.

Yea, Im 100% going to this. Last year was first year I missed since 04:frown:and I have a bunch of family in Canada. My Grandparents were Canadians:wink:

Damn Canada? Any idea how to get us Texan's up there? Transport truck with multi discount? Would love to come.......:biggrin:

im down.. i missed last year.

You really are a trill seeker...:eek:

The schedule has been finalized and we're working on the registration site. Once it's up we'll let everyone know!

See you in Toronto in September!

I know I'll hear it for this, but I hate the location of 09 nsxpo!!!!!! How can you host an NSX club of America event in another country? Most of the hard core NSX specialists are on the west coast! It's a huge distance for us to travel (especially in this economy)! On another note, I hope everyone that's modified knows what they're getting into! If you don't know, I do! You will be risking your car being searched or torn through when you go through the border. BELIEVE ME! Usually it's the return trip through U.S. inspection where this happens. Also, many misdimeaner crimes in the states are way more serious in Canada, & they love to refuse admission to visitors with records. This is also a region of Canada where nice cars are constantly vandelized & broken into with high frequency!!! Many of the nicest NSXs I know of will not be attending. It's a real shame! I know we won't be there, although we wish we could! I hope everyone who can go has a safe & trouble free trip, & for those in my boat... maybe in 2010 they'll have there shit strait.

Toronto is the 5th largest city in North America.

I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, but I've never heard of an NSX stolen in Canada. I don't think there has been a car jacking in the entire country. Ever.

Lets face it, if it was in NYC or Buffalo, 99% of the Cali guys wouldn't be coming anyway.

i hope some good vendors specific to NSX's will make it like scienceofspeed, comptech, factor x. sorry if i forgot some but it would be nice to see some products there for sale instead of getting everything shipped from the us and having to pay the customs tax and tariffs taxes and of course federal and provincial taxes:(

We have an awesome line up of vendors coming. SOS, Lovefab, CT Engineering are coming to name a few and are bringing cars with their hardware installed.

Stay tuned for the auction of a CT Engineering Supercharger kit!

What a stupid Post....I'm sure that you never been to Toronto or a matter of fact to Canada.

You should get your fact straight before posting....I for one, I'm glad you can't AFFORD to come.

LOL way to represent and support the club!!BTW.... Cali has way more of everything bad you mentioned except the border crossing,but your chances of getting strip searched by a dude are much higher in Cali:tongue:

Canada welcomes everyone!

If you have a black car and are seeking gay love, you can get married here!
Dont want to go to Iraq, come visit for a few years (but we may send you to Afghanistan...)

I wouldnt worry about 99% of what that post says, but:

Put your radar detectors in the trunk before you cross the border;
Research what to do with your guns;
Make sure you have proper ID;
but most of all, COME!

We have an excellent schedule planned. The hotel is great. Mosport is an real treat that you will not forget and, as those who attended NSXPO 07 and Est Fest 08 can attest to, ITS GOING TO BE A GREAT PARTY!

One other thing you can do is leave your American beer at home! :D

Toronto is a great city, one of my favs in North America. Anybody who hasn't been there, this is a great excuse to go. It is extremely diverse with great food, fun, etc

The one good point raised is border security going back into the US. I've had family members who've had police take apart cars (seats), as well as search with the dogs. I wonder if an official invite, or something printable would be a good idea. This will make your trip look legit in case they start questioning and hopefully prevent any harrassment. Getting into Canada is generally very easy. Unfortunately, not so much into the US, and this from the perspective of a US citizen.

Also, is parking in the hotels valet, self-park? Any additional security for those parking garages?

The planning committee will discuss your suggestion on our next conference call, but you'll have some swag at the very least to show where you've been, and a receipt from a beautiful hotel!

We have segregated parking for all attendees
