NSXPO 2009 Dates and Hotels

do you have a day to day itinary yet- what are the track days?
John

Track days are Monday and Tuesday September 28 & 29. The social itinerary is being finalized now and should be done within a few days. It's a great looking calendar. We just need to get the registration website up, and we're off to the races. Biobanker is running the show, and will announce the schedule & registration soon!

I know I'll hear it for this, but I hate the location of 09 nsxpo!!!!!! How can you host an NSX club of America event in another country? Most of the hard core NSX specialists are on the west coast! It's a huge distance for us to travel (especially in this economy)! On another note, I hope everyone that's modified knows what they're getting into! If you don't know, I do! You will be risking your car being searched or torn through when you go through the border. BELIEVE ME! Usually it's the return trip through U.S. inspection where this happens. Also, many misdimeaner crimes in the states are way more serious in Canada, & they love to refuse admission to visitors with records. This is also a region of Canada where nice cars are constantly vandelized & broken into with high frequency!!! Many of the nicest NSXs I know of will not be attending. It's a real shame! I know we won't be there, although we wish we could! I hope everyone who can go has a safe & trouble free trip, & for those in my boat... maybe in 2010 they'll have there shit strait.

I agree this is a ridiculous statement. Thanks in advance to all involved with the planning and organizing of the event. I look forward to attending.

I'm sure all our American friends know this already, but...

As of JUNE 1 2009, everyone entering the USA is required to show their passport regardless of their citizenship.

If you're coming to NSXPO, please apply for your passport right away so you can return home.

My flights are booked! Whooooowho! can't wait.

NSXCA committee if you need some help I'd be happy to volunteer on some days as I arrive on the 18th...PM me if so.

I am planning my trip now, so I will arrive in Toronto on Sep.24 and leave on 28.

Can I stay in Westin Prince with special rate for NSXPO?

Hirofumi

Of course Hirofumi! You are more than welcome. It will be great to see you again!

Sean

Update:

We are very close to opening registration!

Im thrilled to see Cameron coming from Dubai and Hirofumi from Japan.

The specifics will be public shortly, but we have an awesome (and unique) event planned.

Stay tuned!

When you have the details, it would be good to see a tentative itinerary. I'm almost sure I'm coming for the track days but not certain I'll make the whole social weekend as well. The itinerary would be helpful in figuring that part out.

PM sent.

Toronto is a great city, one of my favs in North America. Anybody who hasn't been there, this is a great excuse to go. It is extremely diverse with great food, fun, etc

The one good point raised is border security going back into the US. I've had family members who've had police take apart cars (seats), as well as search with the dogs. I wonder if an official invite, or something printable would be a good idea. This will make your trip look legit in case they start questioning and hopefully prevent any harrassment. Getting into Canada is generally very easy. Unfortunately, not so much into the US, and this from the perspective of a US citizen.

Also, is parking in the hotels valet, self-park? Any additional security for those parking garages?

Did we all miss this ???

No, but I cross the border over a dozen times a year and have never had a single problem. Ever. In 15 years. Not once.

Just leave your firearms, drugs and tigers at home. :)

When the registration webpage goes online (any day now) there will be a link to the US department of homeland security that should answer any questions out there.

Are mature Integra R owners permitted? I would love to mingle.

Of course! You don't need to have an NSX to join the club, but membership is required to attend. We'd love to have an owner of the 2nd coolest Acura come out! :)

PS. I hope they let non-owners attend, or I'm screwed! :)

Spectacular! How do I become a member? I'm only an hour away from Toronto. I live in the Niagara Falls area..

Got it thanks. FYI for anyone that has never been to this track before. There is a large downhill into a hard breaking zone and S bend at turn 2 and 3. This is by far the best place to watch the action. I met Peter Cunningham and Pierre Kleinubing, Hugh Plumb, Michael Galati, and Fred Mayer during the Speedvision World Challenge in 02. It was a great weekend. They signed one of my Realtime Racing posters and I had it mounted. This is a pretty high speed course and fairly complicated. It used to be an F1 track.

Hey Guys,

We are finalizing the registration site this week, and immediately following the QA test we will open it up:).

Regards,
LarryB

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
....

Dates: Sept 24th to Sept 29th
Social Hotel Sept 24th to Sept 27th: Toronto Westin Prince. HERE. Photos HERE

There is no need to call any hotel to book yet. We are putting this information out there so that people can plan to attend, and because we are EXCITED!!!!

Any updates on Hotel rates yet? Wondering if a nsxpo rate has been established yet and if so, is there a registration code to use for making reservations?
