Passenger Courtesy light?? Is there one?

I read some where that there is a passenger courtesy light connected to the trim piece under the glove box. I have removed this trim piece to install my cd player in the glove box, but I did not come across any light or wires for it.

Is there actually suppose to be a light down there?

The only light referred to in the owners manual is the one found in the drivers side foot-well.

Drove my new to me 97 last night and didn't notice a passenger footwell light. I guess it doesn't have one. (would be nice)

My 94 had one. The bulb blew out and I could not figure out where it went. I sold the car because of this. ha, ha

The 92 electrical schematic shows left footwell and ignition key lights connected to a timer/dimmer, activated by the left door switch. There is no corresponding passenger setup.

Interesting issue why a passenger light was left out. Was it cost, weight, or something else?
