If you look at post #11 / page 1, it appears that for 2004 & 2005 NSX's it is installed under the boot.

Gunmetal looks good with the stock (1991-2001) Gunmetal Grey Metallic Console, Black matches the leather dash.

Either is a good choice, I use black in my car.

Hi, I have this product -- came with your very nice shift knob. I have an issue with it though and I'm not sure if there's some trick. It seems to be a very tight fit popping it into my OEM shift boot clip at the top, so much so that it's pretty obvious that once I get it in I'll never be able to get it out again. If I ever want to return to the stock shift knob I'd have to have someone cut this thing out. Is it supposed to fit that tightly?

I could try bending the clip arms together with pliers or something...
