Hi !

I still have my original one's.
They just don't have any strength in them anymore.

I did not know they could be refiled.

Do a google search for Strutwise and call and ask for Frank. Most members here have gone through him to have their trunk and glass hatch struts recharged.

Got mines from eBay. I had it for both the hatch glass and trunk all together for $100 and honestly I had it for a couple years. Unless you really want to be OEM AND BE AUTHENTIC. They are only struts to me. My .2

I would buy new instead of sending them to Strutwise

I would say the opposite. Frank did both my hatch and trunk struts in 2012 and they are still perfect. Strutwise is a big supporter of the NSX community and contributed their expertise for years now. I have never heard a negative comment from any customers of Strutwise. His turnaround time is quick and quality of work is 100%

I guess there is always time for a first.
I sent Frank 4 sets of struts for repair..He kept all but one pair and said they were "bad". The one set I got back didnt even last a year before failing again.

Another positive about Strutwise as Frank was very accommodating and shipped quickly. Actually shipped them back to me before I provided payment which is a first for me.

Got mine done by Strutwise 7 years ago and the car sits in cold storage in our cold Canadian winter and I’ve had no problems and yes, Frank was excellent to deal with.

I just replaced mine couple days ago. Got it off ebay. $60 for the trunk set. Installation was easy as it come with instructions. Would def. recommend.

Do NOT buy from Lift Supports Depot either on their web site https://www.liftsupportsdepot.com/ or on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Lift-Supports-Depot-PM3322-Struts/dp/B01MFAVLCD/; very low quality and non-existent customer service. I installed these last year and after only a year one of them self-destructed. I emailed them about warranty replacement; they emailed back saying there was a warranty and to send photos, and after I did this they went silent and did not respond to multiple follow-up emails.

Hopefully you kept your originals and can send them to Strutwise for rebuilding and be done. He rebuilt mine about 5 years ago and they are still going strong.

2 Quick questions:
1) Are the struts for both sides the same or is the part number different depending on the side?
2) How does one remove/replace them?
Thanks
