Even better if they had LEDs in them

that would probably raise the price into OEM territory esp if they were quality pieces. IMHO stock 02+ tail lights look is the way to go. lets make it happen! im sure you can easily rack up tons of people for a group buy.

Led's might make the tails look like a ricer...my friend is trying to source these for me, but would like to see if people were interested.

How are LEDs a ricer look? Maybe a "modern" look as more vehicles, not just Audi is going to LED tails... and some LED front beams.

If it is done nicely then there should be nothing wrong with it. Its like the old school Altezza tails that went viral in the aftermarket world.. and within a few years, many vehicles came with clear taillights. Of course thats dead now but just saying

I would pay no more than $500. I paid $500 for used OEM. Yes, I realize that it was used, but it is still OEM. If it was LED's like the GTC LED kit sold by a member here on Prime I'd pay up to $600. If its the LED style sold on eBay I'd pass.

I found a company that would replica them in Thailand

cost per set would be 36 dollars USD not kidding

36 USD= 1,107.72 Baht

they would be exact replica's minus the wire harness

and the front Headlights this same company could make them for

56 USD a set which is 1,723.12 Baht

exact replica's minus the HID ballast and bulbs

I you can even get CLOSE to that number for headlights, you will have a winner on your hands. Headlights for our cars are ridiculously expensive.

If your serious and they can provide an acceptable prototype, i'll order 100 of each to get them made just so everyone can have a different option to the high OEM cost. But i'm afraid that seems like too good of a deal.

i will find out in about 2 weeks, My buddy flys to Thailand at that time.

we are also thinking about other items that you cant get here or

like some of the brace bars that are way to much for the ammount of time it actually takes to make it.

lets say you buy a brace bar for 500 bucks, it take the guy making it about 20 minutes to cut and weld it together
that guy is making 25 bucks a minute for the product

thats unreal

but it looks good on paper ( show me the product )

ya know.

Keep me posted, for that price I'll buy a few sets - will these come with the center portion as well with the H badge?

My concern would be condensation issues and overall quality fit and finish.
I've been offered LED taillight sets from a manufacturer in Thailand for a reasonable price but they couldn't give me enough guarantees on condensation and longevity.

I understand the need for profit on products but passing on the saving to the community will be greatly appreciated. I dont expect you to sell them at cost but i'm willing to pay $150-$200 depending on fit and quality.
