Hi !

I need to replace my rear tires on my NSX
They are OE Bridgestone Potenza 17 inches. I was told this morning that they are discontinued.

Do you have suggestions to replace these tires ?

My car has 16 in front, and 17 at the rear.

Thank you,
George

Bridgestone Potenza RE71R is available in the correct sizes & specs for your car in some parts of the world - not sure about Canada. It is a summer tyre, not recommended for the cold.

Hi !

Thank you, but this dosent help me much.
Tire rack as one, and they told me that this tire is discontinued from Bridgestone !

I am pretty sure some tire retailer as some, but, how to find them.

Which OE Bridgestone tire is discontinued? RE010? I wanted these OE tires badly last year and was told everywhere that is was discontinued, but my interpretation is that Bridgestone Canada no longer carries the RE010 in its catalog but Bridgestone USA still offers them.

I eventually found a set on... costco.ca! The RE010 was listed there in sizes for NSX (only sizes still being made), but the 2 stores I showed up at claimed it wasn't in their system even though it was listed online. I decided to give it a try online and made the order of the 4 different tires (they are corner specific), a week later I got a phone call from the local store telling me my tires arrived, they were manufactuered in 2016 and 2017.

Sadly Costco no longer shows these tires online...

Thank you for the information.
I am also from Montreal, Canada.

I buy all my tires from Tire rack in the US, and they don't have the OE Bridgestone Potenza anymore. ( Discontinued)
I even call Bridgestone US, and same thing, discontinued tires... My size are 215-45-R16 front, and 245-40-R17 rear.

My car is parked for the until I find tires. This will be my first summer without using my car since I purchased it new in 94...

Thank you for your input.

Why not the BFG G-Force Rival S 1.5? Better technology than the original Potenzas. Seems stupid to park your car when perfectly good tires are available.

As above, the modern Bridgestone Potenza for the NSX is the RE-71R - it is the correct speed rating and load index for the NSX!!!
Alternatively, the RE010 is still on the Bridgestone site: https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tire/potenza-re010/215-45zr16

This BF Goodrich is mostly for track use. A very hard ride tire. And no so good in wet condition.
I have tried them on a viper.

And the Bridgestone RE-71R is even more track focused than the BFG so not sure why you would consider it.

You may also want to consider stepping down in size on the front to 205/45-16. Lots of options available in that size.

^^ I'm in New Zealand

On the Bridgestonetyres.com.au site they have the RE-71R tyre in NSX sizes & specs, and the https://www.bridgestonetyres.com.au/potenza-adrenalin-re003 (which is less extreme than the RE-71R) in the correct size & spec for the rears, but not in 215/45 16 for the fronts, but they do have 205 width, as above.
Here in NZ, the RE003 is available as per Australia: http://www.bridgestonetyrecentre.co.nz/tyres/car-tyres/bridgestone-potenza/adrenalin-re003/

https://tire.bridgestone.co.jp/potenza/re71r/size.html

https://tire.bridgestone.co.jp/potenza/re003/size.html - the RE003 isn't available in an NSX-friendly sizes in Japan.
