It's been a while since I've logged in here to chat with everyone. I almost feel like a stranger, lol. But that is by far and large my fault for not keeping in touch with you guys here in St. Louis.

While my car has been out of commission since the end of last summer, myself and the very kind Dave Dozier has been trying to help figure out a few bugs on my car. But as I mentioned, it was near the end of summer 2014 when we discovered a few little gremlins that needed attention on my car. But with winter in 2014 following up..... Needless to say I was fine with saving some miles off my NSX, and tucked her in for a long winters nap.

However we're still working at getting my car back to being the play toy I enjoy. Just not sure how soon.

What does this mean to the guys of the STL??? heheh..... Not a whole lot, that is unless you're itching to get out and play.

This is basically my way of putting out the feeler/heads up to try and get as much of the STL crew (and any neighboring area NSX'ers) together for a much deserved NSX gathering. And just to make things easier on everyone, I'm going to leave it open to your suggestions on dates for what most of us may be available for. That could be anything from a Cars & Coffee (yawns, but still good for BS'ing and catching up), to just a leisurely meet up at a local watering hole to have "A" beer or soda and shoot the shit while watching a game or race. Or...... possibly planning a day in this beautiful weather for a quick cruise together.

I've known all or most of the STL NSX guys for a while, so I know not everyone's schedule is going to jive well. I guess that's just part of "trying" to be responsible grown ups and having lives, lol. But again, I'm going to try and put a few gatherings together so that most of us will be able to make it to at least one or two gatherings.

So feel free to post up and let people know you're still alive, and interested. We'll get together and do some of the things we like best....driving our NSX and hanging out with good likeminded people.

As for any cruises,....... I haven't been out driving in quite a while to find new roads and conditions.....:frown: A cruise is not out of the question, (I know a few of you know plenty of great roads) but if it's one I throw together for us, it may not happen right away. That is until I hear back to gauge interest levels, etc..

So no rush, and I hope all my fellow NSX'ers around the Lou are all alive and doing well! And by all means, post up on this thread if you're interested.

-Joe

P.S. - Don't make me force you guys out of the house by luring you with (list vice here). Because I don't have enough money pay for escort girls, expensive boos, etc, to bait you with. Plus I don't think your wives/girlfriends would appreciate it either. LOL....:biggrin::biggrin:

Welcome back, Joe! I had though you sold your '92.... glad you didn't. Hopefully we can all get together for a cruise some time.Tyler

I personally dont know you Joe, but sure I did hear about you.

now lets get this St. Louis NSX community back from the dead

Sup Joe!!

Mr. Dozier and I are working on getting together on some service for my girl on July. But I'm up for something in the mean time.

As I mentioned, fingers crossed we can get my car up and running at 100% soon. But it's been a while since we've all gotten together, and I'm pretty positive that no matter what we decide on it'll be a good time. :D

Hopefully I'm back on the road before July Tim, haha....but we'll see!

And hopefully whatever you heard about me rsm578 wasn't too terrible, LOL...

It's been a beautiful year so far, I'm sure we can squeeze some driving time in there for sure!!! I'll keep this thread updated as things transpire and put together some dates as things solidify.

So stay tuned!!!

........And the the saga continues.

I don't think I could run into any more pain in the ass issues, without changing my name to Bruce,....ehh, I mean Cailyn Jenner.

So I receiced my injector back fresh'n clean from RC Engineering, and then proceeded with the install. To my wonderful surprise when I attempted to start my car for the first time after putting it all back together, I see the rpm's ramp up to 2000. Accompanied by a wonderful whooshing noise. A vacuum leak?.... I hurry up and jump out of the car to see fuel spraying 8ft across my garage, therein soakin my entire engine bay down with fuel.

I then hauled ass back to the ignition to kill it, before there were any possibility of lighting the car AND my house a blaze....

I remember the days I enjoyed wrenching on my car. But some how those days seem to have flown into my rearview mirror.:frown:

So unfortunately it may be a few more weeks at the earliest (God willing), that I see anyone soon once my car is sorted out.

I've wanted to get together with the St. Louis group for a while, seems like the largest group within a few hours drive from me.

Sorry to hear you're having these issues, though!

Did you find where the fuel is coming from?

Well, I have the car back together and now just trying to locate another AEM EMS, and possibly do a compression test on each of the cylinders. I've been working on the weekends, so time has not been on my side to get my car done sooner. Plus trying to keep the car out of a shop seems to have only kept the car off the street longer.

I've eliminated nearly all of the other possibilities. Just need to investigate a couple other items, and see how it goes. I may end up having to send it to a shop to have the AEM EMS checked at the same time as the compression. So we'll see.

hey Joe anymore updates on your car?

I sure do, had to take the Supercharger out, the car feels a lot different but I think am getting used to it now. anyways lets all try to get out for couple hours this weekend if time permits

dude St. Louis group may be the largest NSX community around here, but for sure no one really is active here other than few good people (including me :p)

Still alive and kicking... Better late than....never, I guess.

UPDATE on my rough idle/light misfire.....
So far, I've gone through and replaced with all new parts:
spark plugs (new Iridium NGK plugs)
ignition coil packs (bought all 6 new from Honda)
injectors & rails (RC Engineering, thank God these guys are so cool and easy to deal with.)

Tested, and Verified with the valued pro help of DDozier, and another local NSX'er on testing AND swapping the below:
Ignitor
AEM (computer & tune)

Can't thank Dave enough....I'm sure he wishes I'd lose his number.

So while it does suck to replace parts, I have the reassurance that I have new parts on the car. As well as triple checking with the help of very knowledgable NSX guys, on the items that were the first checks. Can't say thank you enough.

NEXT....
I'll be doing my compression test this Saturday (Feb 27th), and recording/evaluating readings & findings (with another trusted Prime/Veteran NSX'er). I'll also be pulling the valve cover off the head near the cabin to do an inspection of the timing belt, cams, valve springs, retainers, everything... etc..

I will post all findings, and any fixes/improvements as well. Super huge shout out to Dave & PUR Performance for their help to this point.

Till then, I'm still sidelined....

Joe - try out Ahmed from Habibi motorsports, he is a very knowledgeable guy and has been doing work on my car lately. He sure can get you all the help you need
