You shouldn't have any problems with California smog checks changing the exhaust because the exhaust comes in after the Cats so it doesn't do anything except change the exhaust note. The headers shouldn't be any problem either, but if you remove the cats I am quite sure you wouldn't pass.

It is very difficult to straighten the pipe, you could try taking it to a shop that installs exhausts I am sure they have run into this before. Good Luck!

I had the same problem with my GT exhaust. The left tip was bent on the left side when looking at it from behind.

very very weird... mine had the exact same problem. Maybe they are manufactured this way...
