Trans not in snap-ring range

Hello,

I am about to buy my first NSX and was browsing this site when I came accross the following discription " Trans not in snap-ring range"

What does it refer to? The nsx I am looking at has 80 000 kilometers (about 36000 miles), is there something I should watch for on this car before I buy it? Any insight you may have will help greatly, thank you

Snap Ring is a transmission failure only affecting certain vehicles in the '91-'92 model years.
