Folks- we were able to fix the underlying issue with the missing text box on the forum. Everything should be back to normal.

You are closing it incorrectly. Don't try to slam it. Just let it come to rest, then press down on the trunk itself (NOT the spoiler!) until it latches.

You can adjust the stoppers for the trunklid. There are these rubber bumpers that you can screw in/out to adjust the amount of clearance. Dialing them in a mm or two might make it easier to close.
I recall there being info in the FAQ on doing this. (damnit why did the FAQ nazi have to go?)
Also, I found it easier to close the trunk if I pushed directly on the sheetmetal above the latch. Pushing the spoiler didnt work as well and may result in damage if pushed too hard.
