VIN on windshield

I have a 99. Here is a picture of the VIN under the windshield.
Why no numbers? It says JH4 NA2. It has VIN number on door jamb.

I wonder if the dash (with the plate) was replaced at some point?

That is perfect! I cover my windshield VIN.
I consider that no bodies business but mine.

Maybe the picture is different now but I see JH4NA2169XT00007???? The first 6 are white and the others are black. I think I've seen this before somewhere but can't recall where.

I have to agree with [MENTION=20031]99 rs[/MENTION]. If you look closely you can see the last 11 digits of your VIN engraved in the plate albeit very lightly and hard to see. My 1991 is just like this.

if you look close the vin number is actually there. the JH4NA2 is just white and the rest is black
