What is the real scoop on the urethane leather?

I've looked through the archives and have not seen any definitive answers... so here goes. Is it a waste of time to use leather conditioner on the seats? If the leather is in fact coated with urethane then it makes sense that the product will not soak in and do any good.

Do you need to do anything to keep the leather in fine shape other than clean it?

thanks

I've noticed significant differences in leather condition of seats well maintained with a quality leather conditioner like lexol vs. no treatment.

Even though it's coated, it will still dry out and crack if you don't treat it. Treating it will also keep it supple and soft. I use Zymol Treat on my NSX seats. Great stuff.
