I am in the process of buying an NSX, only three here in the whole country so not a big selction... I need to buy a full set of tires so ...

Currently it has 225 45 R16 on the Front & 235 45 R17 FALKEN tires on Momo rims. I like the wheels but they need re chroming no big deal but the tires are dead.. so any recommendations on what to go for ?

Thanks
Dave

Depends on the year of the NSX. I would say on a 94+ I've done 225/45/16 and 255/40/17 on a stick 16/17 setup, that wasn't lowered, and I liked it. Never rubbed.

However, I would probably suggest Kumhp ECSTA SPT in the 225/45/16 Front, and 255/40/17 Rear.

But Year, and size and offset of wheels would help make a better recomendation.

Thanks for the reply, very new to the NXS, not even mine yet.... its a 93 and with reagrd to offset I have no idea, I would bet its the orignal factory setting. Trying to find a good shop here to get a list of items done. I agree with you on the Kumho's I have them on my shortlist of tires to try find here. Would you consider going smaller on the front at all to lighten the steering a fraction ?

Offset change if they are aftermarket Momo wheels. Also, Factory Tire Sizes are 215/45/16 and 245/40/17. I would stick as close to those as possible. However the 215/45/16 really limits tire selection, and the only one I did find aren't on my list of tires I would install on an NSX (if you don't choose OEM Tires for the NSX that is)

So My bet would be 225/45/16 and 255/40/17.

I have 225/45/16 front and 255/40/17 rear and that is a perfect fit. The speedo is now spot on with GPS measured speed:smile:

205/45-16 is a better choice. Many people have rubbing with 225/45-16.

And 245/40-17 or 255/40-17 are better choices for the rear. You don't want to use 45 aspect ratio rear tires. If you are using 205/45-16 for the front, 245/40-17 is the better size in the rear.

I don't know what tires are available in Chile, but 205/45-16 and 245/40-17 are very common sizes and you should be able to find good tires in those sizes.
