This is going to get a few of you I'm sure...
1. People obsessed with using their emergency brake at every opportunity, excluding on angled pavement obviously. Just leave the car in gear if it's a manual, and if it's an automatic why the hell are you putting the e-brake on????????????????? Do you think the car is going to roll away on the flat street while it's in park??????????? I have ridden with people that put their e-brake on at STOP LIGHTS. I parked my old 5spd accord on an extremely steep hill in Indiana just putting in gear as a test and the damn thing held fine; I wouldn't suggest that with an NSX though.
2. Annoying pets. I have neighbors that have a dog they leave outside when it won't stop barking. It drives me insane. I have talked myself out of hasty solutions several times because it's not the dogs fault. My next place is going to have the most sound proof windows that money can buy.
3. Screaming kids in public places with apathetic parents.

That is a bit rude.
I used to work in a factory with large dangerous high speed equipment. It was mandatory to wear a baseball cap to cover your hair for safety reasons. The company provided the caps for us to wear with the company logo.
Every once in a while you would see one of your coworkers remove their hat to pat down their hair or readjust the fit. Sometimes you had never seen this person without a hat on for years. Then when they took off their hat just for a moment you found out they were bald !!!
If the people in the restaurant are wearing a hat , they are either rude or bald.
Personal note here - My location ( Danbury , CT ) was once the hatting capital of the world. Approximately 90% of all the hats made in this country came from Danbury. Around the turn of the century we had over 100 hat factories and finishing shops. They are all gone now. The last one closed in 1987. We had all the big names like Stetson and they even made the famous Mickey Mouse hats here before it all closed up and went overseas.
Abe Lincoln's stovepipe hat came from Danbury.
Danbury's high school sports teams are known as " The Hatters "
I always use my parking brake. At this moment my car is parked in the garage, in neutral, with the parking brake on. I think in the owner's manual it says to park in neutral with the parking brake on.
If you come to San Francisco and have to park on some of our hills, I would recommend that you use your parking brake and leave your car in gear. Plus, it's a law here that you have to turn your wheels into the curb if parking downhill and away from the curb if parking uphill.
In the UK drivers are trained to use their parking brake at stop lights. If they are stopped at a light going uphill, they use their parking brake. They place their car in gear and then release the brake as they accelerate.
These "cretans" who turn on their windshield washer/wipers on the highway in front of you, on a sunny day, after you just cleaned your car. 
Of course it's reasonable to use the parking/emergency brake on a hill/angled surface, that's its function. It's also normal to use it at a stop light if you have to do so in order to move safely from a stopped position. That's also their only logical functions (in my mind). None of those are what I mentioned as bothersome.
Besides slowly stretching your e-brake cable, the risk of the brakes failing to release from the rotor, the risk of warping/damaging your rotors if you apply the brake immediately after using your brakes extensively and leave it there, the risk your e-brake fails to catch adequately on your 10-20 year old aura and proceeds to without warning slowly back itself out of the driveway and crash into the fire hydrant across the street (the e-brake does eventually stop working if used often), and a few others, 99% of the time it doesn't cause any harm. But then again, either does leaving a brick on your brake pedal and putting bricks on both sides of all four tires to make extra sure it doesn't roll away while it's parked in your perfectly level garage. The car is very difficult to move if left in gear. When I lived in Houston (flat as a 2 by 4 unlike Austin) and had my z32 twin turbo, I went an entire year without using the e-brake.
And as I expected, I knew I would get a couple of you guys on this one.

when I finally sold it the buyer was shocked that the ebrake still worked because the cable wasn't stretched out lol

No. You didn't get me. Your points are well taken. I don't remember but I think I read something about parking in neutral with the parking brake on in care your car is hit. Something about protecting the transmission.
