And after playing with it for about an hour, it makes the iPhone 4 look and feel like an old calculator.

This thing is perhaps 2 or 3 stages better; faster, bigger, nicer screen, widgets are awesome, and it fits in my pocket better, since it's larger, but slimmer.

I picked up my Galaxy 3 last Sat. I love it!

I just need to order a nice case for it now.

I just ordered a screen protector from BSE, and a case from DSstyles; I need a dock too.

Best Buy just had some ghetto plastic protectors, and wall chargers.

LOL, you got a swarovski crystal one didn't you?

I too about to replace my iphone 4s to the Samsung Galaxy S3 . That's what i wanted but it wasn't out yet.

I'm not trying to be an Apple fan boy here but the iPhone 4 is more than 1 year old. 3 months from now the IPhone 5 will be out and it will probably catch up/ surpass the G3.

I hear awesome reviews about the G3 except when it comes to battery life.

This is my first non-iphone since the first iphone came out; I've had the standard iphone, 3G, 3GS, and 4. On my iphone 4, I have gone through 3 of them, and I don't abuse phones. This last one started overheating when running more than 2 apps, and it's only about 6 months old. I received horrible customer service the last time I went to the applestore, with the rep first admitting fault, then entering into circular logic for 15 minutes once a manager came over in an effort to avoid providing me with a replacement. They demanded I prove an intermittent issue, which had a pre-existing paper trail, and then when they actually had it occur they quickly hid the fact to avoid replacing the phone, which was under warranty. It took several phone calls, and a visit to a second store in a "nicer area" to get a replacement.

I have been out of contract for nearly two years, and was holding off on the 4S since the iphone 5 has been "due any time now" for nearly the same length of time. Finally, Today, I got fed up when my iphone overheated again, so I drove to Best buy and walked out with a Galaxy S III.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say I did almost no research prior to getting home with my new phone, I had played with a friend's new GSIII a few days ago, but that was it. Now I am wondering why I didn't switch over years ago; this phone is way better, and android's current iteration is slicker than iOS, once customized. I actually managed to upgrade my firmware on the new GSIII, figure out the interface, and download about a dozen apps, meanwhile my iphone 4 is still connected to a charger in the other room doing a full reset - it's been at this for nearly two hours.

To be clear, I have now effectively bricked both my alarm clock, and car stereo, since both are dedicated iphone-only devices, this is somewhat annoying, and adds to the cost. However, the since the rumor mill states Apple is going to change their dock connector anyway, this becomes moot; I think a large number of apple users will swap over, unless apple releases something soon, and has a faultless launch.

You already know all that iOS6 does. It's not much different than iOS5. I look forward to getting it on the ipad because it gives us features we should have already had -- like siri.

The phone will be slightly larger and faster, but basically it is still the same OS. If you love it, then you will love the phone. If you want something different, you will be disappointed.

Regardless, they will sell a bizzallion to baristas all over the world.

For me, the GS3 screen is too big. Seems like it would be awkward to carry around. Battery life is apparently not bad, and it is a swappable battery, so that is a very attractive feature for an android phone.

I think a 4.2 inch screen is about as big as I want to go.

I have a feeling Apple is going to turn into a patent troll company.
It's not too late for them, but their OS is so far behind right now.
They need to do something or the iPhone is going to die off IMO.

My 2 cents on cases and screen protectors. Don't do it.

#1. You can't scratch glass. Take your key to your screen, it doesn't hurt it. Meanwhile the plastic "screen protector" will scratch and look ridiculous.

#2. Don't get a case. Androids don't break as easy as iPhones. Youtube drop tests. Instead, just get insurance and don't worry about it.

Running it naked is much more enjoyable. You can enjoy a sleek phone instead of a brick.

Their OS is from 2007. They have adding a few things here and there, but it is a dated OS no doubt. Just like BlackBerry's OS is ancient. They are redoing it and its been killing them. Apple could be working on a new OS behind the scenes as we speak so I don't think they are going to die off any time soon.

I'm sitting here with my Sprint Evo 4G with a shattered glass. Dropped it. They break. A new glass/digitizer is on it's way $10 via Ebay.

Battery Life? LOL...

My G3 lasts two days and I'm blowing up the interwebs nonstop!

This thing is amazing.

I use my phone alot and for many uses. Mainly, at the gym to stream music. It I drop it, I want it to be protected. A nice case will also help in holding it.

I bought my wife and I a couple cases from http://www.tridentcase.com/ last night. They reviewed better than the otterboxes.
