Yeah Dave, I need some work on the Accord, too! Let us know when you've got a place set up.

    Official Houston NSX sightings

Today about 11am: Red NA1 (coupe) with black roof driving north on Shepherd just before Allen Parkway (near Tila's.) Looked pretty stock, at least nothing outrageous. Bald, tanned white guy driving.

Houston Coffee and Cars - Saturday August 6th

Anybody going to see the Senna movie in Austin the weekend of the 19th?

    Official Houston NSX sightings

Awesome!! They must look similar - what year/mods do you have? Plus, I just found the "NSX on TV/Movies" thread... this totally needs to go in there. After I thought about it for a bit, I realized it probably wasn't me - news stories are usually shot same day and I was out of the country when...

    NSX craze 2011 Austin texas

I'll keep it on the calendar - no promises, though. Maybe hit the go-karts and drive a bit more aggressively before then so the track time would even make sense.

Houston Coffee and Cars - Saturday August 6th

Bui, did you get a Kaiser Silver '97? If so, that may have been you on the news, since I was probably out of the country when it was filmed. Too lazy/tired to look up the link, though. Glad to hear you got one! I'll try to make it out in either the Leaf or the NSX (or both if my g/f will...

How many other silver ones are there in Houston? Otherwise, that looks like me!

    Cars and Coffee?

Turns out I will be there. I'll try to get there by 7:30. But more likely 8:00.

    Official Houston NSX sightings

Possible sighting I-10 eastbound (inbound) at Dairy Ashford right across from the old Hummer dealer (now Sewell Cadillac.) Could only see the roof from inside my office, and didn't have my glasses on, but it was either an NSX or a last-generation Camaro. Red, targa.

    Cars and Coffee?

Thought I'd be able to go (with the Leaf, not the NSX), but looks like I'll be in Lake Charles for a bachelor party. Next month I'll have to get both cars out there - I'll drive the NSX and my girlfriend can drive the Leaf!

    mechanic needed!

Call Dave - he works at John Eagle in Katy and knows the NSX inside and out. Great guy - 832-253-6592. Tell him Daniel sent you.

    Official Houston NSX sightings

Saw TWO NSX's yesterday while driving mine: (1) Red pre-02 which looked like it had been lowered/had skirts or something put on it. Beltway 8 North between Westpark and I-10, just south of the toll plaza. Looked like a trim white dude with sunglasses driving it. (2) Westheimer near Shepherd...

GM CEO calls for $1 gas tax hike

To make it clear, Warren was rather disgusted with this outcome (as should be clear from what I said earlier about his position on the estate tax.) All this comes from his biography that came out a few years ago called "The Snowball" if anyone's interested in learning more.

GM CEO calls for $1 gas tax hike

Absolutely! People can argue about the price to set for CO2 emissions and who's entitled to what share of the funds collected, but we completely agree that CO2 and other costs could be baked into the price of the gasoline - my point was simply that they're not in there today. I don't know...

GM CEO calls for $1 gas tax hike

Liquid, I absolutely agree with you that market-based mechanisms and effective competition create the best solutions in the fastest time, but want to point out that they do nothing for what are known in the economics world as externalities (the classic example of which is pollution.) For...

More than you can afford pal......

One person asked "because he'd never seen one before" but was a total jerk about it. I told him "$10 million. The reason you haven't seen one is because this car was custom-made for me and there aren't any others out there. I had to sell my first company to get it." PS -- I'm 24, so it's not...

New Owner - 2000 NSX-T Long Beach Blue Pearl

Nice looking car - the picture actually makes it look pretty close to LBBP. I think a 2000 would look awesome in LBBP... potential repainting for mine, maybe!

    Houston Coffee and Cars

We're putting two types of chargers in our stations, both built by Aerovironment. The Level 2 charger (which we also put in your garage/driveway) is a J1772-standard 220/240 volt charger capable of charging at 6.6kw, so that implies 30 amps. Our Level 3 DC Fast charger is a 440/480 volt...

    Houston Coffee and Cars

I'll be there (no, really this time.) Dave's got my NSX, so I'll be showing off an all-electric Nissan Leaf with an eVgo charging station. I work for eVgo, who's setting up charging stations for EVs around Houston and Dallas. Check us out at www.eVgoNetwork.com (Mods - delete if that's too...

    Official Houston NSX sightings

Saw a black NA1 getting on I-10 W between Kirkwood and Dairy Ashford at 8am. Very shiny, license plate B0H or something like that. Looked pretty sweet, made me look forward to driving mine!

Anderson Loop Drive - Saturday March 26th

I'd be there if I hadn't broken my arm two weeks ago. Somewhat difficult to drive the stick with a non-functional right hand, and taking a drive like that in the Accord is just boring.

Coffee and Cars meet for March 5th 2011

Same here. Glad to hear there was a good turnout despite the weather! I took the NSX up to Conroe yesterday after everything cleared up - beautiful weather, great drive. Much fun.
