i noticed this before on my own personal car and a few customers cars before. i believe because of the exposed lug nuts caused the stud itself to rust and leave the rusty residue inside the lug. grease or antiseize the studs tend to help it :)

yes that car used to belong to mike, the new owner (current) has taken good care of it and is finally deciding to let it go.

had a similar problem, ended being moisture in one of the spark plug boot. replaced the spark plugs and luckily for me that was it. :)
