OP said he wants to "plunk down the cash". Sounds like he can buy one. Why would he not want to buy from a dealer? Car dealership is in the business of selling cars. Part of the job is allowing customers to test drive.

really? I have been looking on ebay. prices have held up pretty well. Looking forward to "upgrading" but prices are still quite high. not to hope that your car depreciates but hope that one day the price does come down a little more.
