Help identifying some Honda (?) rims

Nope four bolt vs five. The only H/A models with that crazy offset were mid 90's tl's and legends.

    EGR valve delete.

davidf, your logic is not correct. The purpose of the EGR valve is to lower combustion temps. Above 2500C, nox forms and the EGR is used to dilute and lower the combustion temperature to below this 2500C. Please leave as is, the skies are dirty enough and there is no reason to tamper with it...

    Help Asap transmission disassembly

Do you have the end cover bolted on? Torque all the bolts as per FSM. Leave the big sealing bolt out that covers the snap ring. Grab the tranny, flip it over and bang it gently on a thick piece of wood. The shaft will drop and the snap ring will grab the groove on the bearing. You will hear...

    Help Asap transmission disassembly

Turn the trans upside down and tap it on a piece of wood. The shaft will drop and pick up the ring. Not a stupid design once you know the tricks.

    Aging - some personal thoughts

I am 40 + but don't feel it. Don't look it either (so the mrs. tells me) Lift weights, good for the body and keeps fat off. I keep some dumbells behind the sofa and work out when the kids go to bed. And finally, stop sweating the small things in life. Just not worth it.

    oil filter pedestal removal

Bolts are all visible. As Larry B mentioned, use Hondabond on the threads only. You can slide the oil cooler away from the block and just cut the hoses off. It makes removal of the rest of the hose ends easier.

Having your timing belt / water pump changed? Make sure these gaskets are replaced

Use 3M weatherstrip adhesive to hold them in place and they don't get pinched or roll off when replacing the covers.

should I change my trans oil?

There is a flat magnet inside the bottom of the tranny case to catch floating metal particles.

    Man's Best Friend....was my Dog

Oh boy. Almost a year to the day, I hugged my beloved Sasha as the vet put her down. Cancer had violated her and she was beyond saving. Nary a day passes I don't recall a treasured moment we had together.

    Steering Rack Advice Please

Hi. Is your mounting bushing worn? Easy to replace aand cheap. If the inner tie rod is pooched, easy to replace and align. I will see what a rack costs, but seems mighty pricey. Cheers from globally above.

Is it safe to drive from Vancouver to Jasper in late October?

You never know. I drive that route annually and it has snowed in July and been gorgeous in October. Go for it, the scenery is spectacular!!!

    too good to be true?

I believe the blue one was in Vancouver a few years back. IIRC, had been rebuilt due to rather hefty crash.

Idle stays @ 2k rpm and yoyo

Also, be sure the cooling system is thoroughly bled. H/A vehicles will also get the "idle yo-yo" if air pockets are messing up the coolant temperature sensor readings. HTH

    NSX sales in Canada

Was reading an industry publication that lists sales. For 2003, Acura sold 2 new NSX's in Canada. But 2004 was a stellar year, they sold 6!!! What a shame, especially when you see the sales figures for other cars. The only car with worse "high end sport car" sales figures was the Z8.
