OK, here's a shot of them mounted on our red car;

I'm currently having the other set of 5's powder coated to match these, so we can have them on both cars.
What you see pictured here are the correct 17x7's on the front of the red car, but the 18x10's on the rear that are meant for the purple car.
When I'm all done, the red car will have 17x7's (215/40) and 18x9's (275/35)....and the purple car will have 17x8's (235/40) and 18x10's (285/35) all on matching 5's.

It's a hard color to shoot, but I would call them an enhanced gunmetal rather than "black chrome" ;^D

Got these powdercoated ("Black Chrome Xtreme") and mounted just in time for NSXPO.

This seemed less like mounting wheels but rather putting jewelry on the NSX :biggrin:

Thanks to both Chris and Stephen, combining your sets of 5's worked out great for both cars!

Hey guys... I'm planning on getting a set from myw. Could you help me with a few questions? I have a 91 nsx with h&r drop springs. Will i need spacers to run his set 17x7 +50 and 18x9 +40? Also what size tires would be recommended? Thanks prime!

tire sizes for sure 215/40/17 + 255/35/18

its tricky to guage wheel fitment but oem 2002 nsx is 17x7+55 17x9+56. based on that ive seen mildly lowered nsx's run 15-20mm spacers front and back for a more flush fitment front and rear. im going to assume that the 18x9 you can leave and maybe recommend 5-15mm spacer for the front. actually i think a set of 17x7+35 and 17x7+45 model 5s were just sold recently and the 17x7+35's were stated to be flushed to the fender upon test fitment (not sure what suspension setup it was).

when comparing use the site below to help compare offsets. remember that when mounting tires, the same sized tire can be mounted slightly wider then rimA, while the tire can also run stretched on a wider rimB... which makes it more difficult to calculate perfect offset on paper perfectly.

like alot of the guys here will tell you to test fitment based on suspension setup. tire brand/model will also be a factor as certain tires are shaped 'boxier' then other brands, which will also effect rubbing/fitment.

There were 4 Imola Orange cars (3 originals and a respray) at NSXPO 2013, but we were the only ones out of 106 NSX's on Advan 5's?

Hard to believe, but true;

Thanks Michael.. I can't wait to join the AVS 5 crew.

Awesome wheels... love this thread and the great creativity folks have shown to assemble a full set of wheels and to refinish them to meet their style ideas. There's a short list of awesome wheels for the NSX, and the Advan 5 is surely on it! (still have to give props to the Prodrive GC-07C, the OEM 02+.... and the Advan RS with the GTR face in gunmetal is just yummy).

^^ Those looks great!! The copper came out sweet... glad you ended up finding a close color as we talked about.

Word on the street is there is a limited supply of Advan Model 5's on ebay. A serious collector is liquidating!!

Including my 17/18 track setup in 8" 38mm and 10" 45mm!!

^^ i think you're the only one left worldwide with the advan collection.

the only remaining set of i have is for the small lexus, a spare 18x10+45 and an extra set of advan 5 caps.

funny thing is is my wife hates the wheels so i have to wait for her next business trip to put them on her car.... lol

my basement is now empty... oh the memories...
