My 92 Berlina Black Build Progress

You ever try vaccuum bagging?

to wrap with CF >?

kick ass advice. im going to be thanking you when i CF up all my plastic pieces.

did you end up doing the plastic surround around the guage cluster in CF also?

No, I just wrapped my upper steering column. I didnt want too much CF clustered around one location

Loving this build!

Im jealous, im still searching for a stock looking NSX right here...

Thanks ! be ppatient..you'll get yours

Tae the build looks incredible and the hatch looks amazing! Glad you got everything ok and that the fitment was great. You actually can make use of the hatch function! Looks so much better with the carbon fiber. Looking forward for the completed project!

Thanks Bryan hyung,

The fitment was PERFECT as you promised and the install was so simple/easy. Big props to you and Science of Speed !!

Here are some sample pictures of my CF pieces after I sand down the first 4 coats to make the surface smooth and re-applying 3 coats of resin.

I'm going to sand them down again starting with the 100grit -> 800 grit and clear coat (thinking about using the dark clear coat)them this weekend.

I got my car tuned and I am very disappointed with the numbers. Only 20whp gain after ITB. I'm not sure if something is wrong, but this is nowhere closed to what I saw from Dan's gain

Perhaps a call to SoS should have been the first step before this post? One would expect them to have the expertise to help you figure out what went wrong.

I would have but it was too late to contact them by the time we were done tuning (10:30pm est). I posted on the forum because I am documenting every step.
I hope you understand that I am not saying the kit only produce 20 whp gain. I/or my tuner may have missed something and I'm just trying to find out if anyone could direct me to the right direction until I can get a hold of SOS.

You will also need the headlight mounting brackets. headlight brackets we tried from Dali, SOS and Downforce. The Downforce brackets were the best.

It is correct. The parts not on the list you can reuse your old ones. I wish there was a list when I did my conversion, because I bought every single bolts, screws, clips and parts from the dealer on the front bumper page.

You can turn your tow hook over or buy the correct one.

I've been busy trying to get my ITB set up run properly so no real update for you guys YET ! Just in case you guys missed the thread I started under the NSX owner discussion

"Ok guys, here are the results. These runs were done on the dynojet. We first ran with my map, then ran again after loading Dan's map w/o making any changes. We did this multiple times and the results were pretty same.

Blue is with Dan's map tuned by Tony/UMS
Red is my map tuned by Ray/PFSupercars

Multiple runs were done but the results were same and the highest WHP gained using my map was 296whp, which is 29whp difference compared to my base.

I was surprised/glad to see how the results from two different maps were almost identical because that proves there was nothing wrong with the tune itself. Overall, I am very happy with the result. The throttle response/sound/more tourqe makes the drive 1000x better/fun.

Anyone from DC/MD/VA or east coast wants to get their car tuned, check out Ray Wilson from PFSupercars http://www.pfsupercars.com/ 301-876-0611. He is one of the best when it comes to building/tuning FI/NA cars of all makes/models using ANY EMS out there !!

I did however fitted all my CF interior pieces back on and I will take some pictures this weekend (weather is pretty bad here in Washington DC area)

Ben/Daisy Imports changed my oil/coolant temp sensor/fuel filter today (Thanks Ben !!). Also, to the future SOS ITB owners, the instruction you get with the kit does not mention anything about intake temp sensor. For me, we wired up Mazda sensor and left it exposed to the atmosphere.
