new member. new owner. thanks for the posts - helped me get a $50.5k discount.

Congrats by the way. Great car. I am torn between Valencia red and blue.

The paint jobs on these cars is amazing. Best I have ever seen. Especially the blue and red

Well done, congratulations!

Don't put it away for the winter. I have a second set of Y spoke shod with Pirelli Sotto Zero 3 tires for my car. Mine was on the road the full 12 months I have owned it in Chicago. These cars love cold air.

question.. im getting misinformation on this acura financing. some saying to refi 2-3 payments after and now i get this

"We would just have to submit your credit ap to get a rate from Acura Financial, there is no incentivized rate and you would have to make at least 24 months in payments or there is a charge back for the $30,000"

I am in the market for the new nsx - what discount i should be looking for. I live in houston texas. i saw one all optioned out at 202K. what is the max discount offered. I am also worried that since they are marking it down due to poor sales, what will happen to the new 2018 NSX. will they reduce the MSRP to hype the demand.

thanks raj

i was told i could pay it off after a few payments...but...the rate is around 2.9% so either pay it off or keep it financed with them....

Hi Raj - i'm pretty sure you could get at least $40k off at most dealers. I'm not too worried about the 2018's - even if the price is a bit lower i beleive they are mostly going to be custom ordered so the market won't be flooded. I firmly beleive that getting a price like this on one of the existing cars is a great deal and you won't lose a ton of money on it if you hold on for a couple of years...

I just want to put this out there and please no one take offense. I called more dealers than i care to remember and most did not know of the discount and then they found out and were offering about $35k on the higher priced ones.

$30k from Acura and usually another $5k from dealer and it was up to them based on options if they could go more. It seems the cheaper base models $160k are losing the full discount and it is being pushed to the more optioned cars as of late. So i do not think you can get $40k on most cars it will have to be a more highly optioned version here they can charge 50 cents on the dollar for options and discount it that way. So it would actually be more of a discount.

For example the OP had what looks like his car base price discounted to about $122k and then his $20k plus worth of options discounted by about 50% which put him at about $132k on about a $182k that seems about right and maybe an extreme example but was possible because of the higher sticker.

There seem to be posts verifying this with the 160k cars being offered with $20k off as well as $14k off etc. If you can get it though $38k of a $160k car take it and run.

Your thought process makes perfect sense to me...

To clarify...you have to finance it for a minimum 24 month period BUT you can pay it off after 2-3 months is what i was told.

So I I think this recent frenzy of discounts has prompted a lot of calls to the Acura dealers, turns out now they think they have a hot commodity in the latest few I spoke with are only offering the money that American Honda finance is kicking back with a very little discounted, I mentioned getting a discount of 50,000+ off on a $200,000 loaded car and I was practically laughed at.... for those that picked up some good deals congrats, I guess I don't have the time to hit the phones hard enough...

nsx.jpg I just picked her up and drove back to work! This car is amazing! I can't believe so many people have said otherwise. For the price I don't think you can touch the performance AND experience. If you can get your self a deal on one of the remaining inventory units do it. Don't wait. Don't walk. Run. You will thank me after your first drive. :)

^^^absolutely right^^^ I have run into the same from dealers, lets see what they are saying in 2 months after maybe consecutive 20-30 unit sales months . What is amazing to me, some dealerships have had these cars for anywhere from 4-12 mths and they are still waiting for the "home run/ lay down". I am willing to wait this out, after all it is just a car....JM2C

Hilarious. Who does that in real life? All I've gotten is positive responses for the Gen 1 (and not just from men) . Maybe in time Gen 2 will amass the love from the public.

Lots of thumbs up since then! I think it was a jealousy thing. People get mad when other people have nice things.

Congrats to all the new owners - this is very cool news to see people actually driving the cars!

If anyone has seen a Casino White car with carbon roof sitting around please let us know. My wife is itching to get one :)

thanks!
