S2CarbonWorks Acura NSX GT Aluminum Radiator Cooling Panel

We have officially released this new product for production! I will start taking pre-orders for these now, and they will be shipping soon! (due to holiday delay, they will begin shipping the first week of January)

The S2CarbonWorks 1991-2005 NSX GT Radiator Cooling Panel is made from a high grade, light-weight aluminum sheet that has been laser cut & formed to fit the NSX perfectly. Each panel is then Hard Anodized or Powdercoated in the color of your choice, and finished off with one of our laser-etched aluminum emblems. These cooling panels not only dress up the under hood area, but help keep the engine temperature cool during hard use by forcing more air through the radiator (thus reducing the coolant temp). Each panel can be installed with basic hand tools, and requires NO modification to your NSX in the event you want to revert the car back to factory equipment for resale. (on the production cooling panels, I made some adjustments to the final production drawing to give an even better fitment which is not pictured).

Note: This sample piece pictured was just some scrap material we had for testing purposes (brushed finish), so the final finish will be smooth anodized on the production models unless you opt to add the brush finish to your cooling panel.

Will this work with the Type R hood?

Since the cooling panel does not extend to the end of the fan shroud (its actually about 1.5" to the end of the radiator shroud from the panel's end) I'd say yes it should fit.
I don't have a type r hood here to test, but if it does not fit, I'd be happy to refund your purchase including shipping charges.

the panel is exactly 1.3" from the end of the panel to the end of the fan shroud hood. If your Type R hood has at least this much clearance, it will fit fine.

I won't have any finished black anodize panels until we actually produce them, which will be with the first batch on the list. (maybe 1-2 weeks)
I will say that the black anodized finish is my favorite, but I posted a picture of a civic panel in the first post that has the black finish on it, will be identical to the NSX GT cooling panels when they are finished. It's not flat black, or gloss black - It has just a slight sheen

None yet, as the panel is securely fastened in the center and is rested upon the core support as a "backer". The material we used for the panels is pretty thick for aluminum, actually thicker than any other cooling panel I have seen (mishimito, carbing, cusco, nrg, etc) most of the other brands are very thin metal. We chose the thick material to add strength to prevent any flexing so it works with our design well. Our GT Cooling Panel is not as thin as you might think, it will surprise you.

I will be testing an 02+ tomorrow to see what difference I need to make on the panel to be compatible.
