At this time payam972 this is just for NSX's and S2000's, sorry. I can elaborate via pm if you wish. As it is, the NSX's will run separately from the S2000's in their own run group(s). If this drive is a success I can see us having future drives where we can open up attendance to other makes, but for now I'd prefer we kept this format.

So far the weather forecast is looking great for this drive, high's near 70 degrees and sunny. Fingers crossed. Here is the list of cars attending the drive so far as of today.

Updated list as of 03/05. It's looking like there will need to be multiple run groups in both the S2000 and NSX's. That's a nice problem to have .

If anyone's interested we can caravan over together, now I'll have to think of good spot meet up. :tongue:

Somewhere at or around Town East Mall in Mesquite would probably make the most sense. It's right there off 635, between 30 and 80. Quick, easy access to hop on the freeway for the drive to Terrell. Should be pretty vacant that time of day.

The drive roads are smoother than Dallas area roads, we cross two railroad crossings which are not rough. I imagine 635 will be rougher than anything we will face on the drive. I don't know that you need to change up wheels, I'm going to use my new RS2's and Dunlop tires.

Ok, Chris (dirtiehippie) suggested we meet at the Town East Mall in Mesquite and that looks like a good spot. Let's plan on meeting in the parking lot on the Northeast side of the mall at 8:00 am. Don't be late we leave at 8:15 am for Terrell, so if you are late just plan on meeting up at Tanger Mall on highway 20 near Terrell. Once we get to Terrell there are several gas stations close by you can fill up prior to the drive or take a restroom break.

A concern was raised on the S2000 website about the drive pace and this might be an issue with the NSX group as well. There are several S2000 owners that have never done a group drive and being that there will be at least two run groups, the second run group will be for "novice" group drivers and their cars. I've never lead an NSX group before, so I'm not really sure what pace we should drive. So I'm asking, do we want a "spirited" drive or a slower tour where we stay within a relative proximity of the speed limit? Let me know everyone thoughts............... I want the drive to be fun (not boring) safe (within reason) and worth doing either for the beginner or experienced NSX owner and passenger.

The drive will be "spirited" then, those wishing to keep to a slower pace will just take up the rear of the run group. Maps will be available with turn by turn directions for the first and second legs of the drive. Again, if you have two way radios please bring them. I have four but a few extra would be great.

If you are "still on the fence" on whether to sign up for this drive, please do so asap. We are already at approximately 26+ people with the S2000/NSX groups combined. I would prefer to keep the NSX group at no more than 14 cars, so sign up before those few remaining slots fill.

The drive itself is about 140 miles more or less. If you add in the drive to Terrell it's another 27 miles I guess. Get that oil changed and join us man !
