what's the longest you've had the same car?

I just sold my mazda mx6 that I had since 98 and it was pretty sad to let it go. I can't believe I had the car for almost 5 years! so what's the longest you've had a car and which car?

I had my first generation Integra from Aug 1988 to Dec 1999. And my wife and I had her 1989 Accord from Dec 1989 until late 2001.

I bought my Talon in November of '89, ('90 model year) and it's still going strong.

I just got my NSX, and I plan on keeping it until I'm too old to drive

A somewhat modified '85 CRX-SI, since '85. Still puts a big smile on my face today.

Hondas are like that, you know. I don't anticipate ever selling either of, as neither has ever been surpassed for what it is. Five thousand pounds between them, and miles of smiles.

I had my 78 911SC Targa from Oct. 1983 to Oct. 2002. I sold it to buy my current NSX and while the 911 was certainly part of the family and predated our marriage by 2 months, we can see ourselves keeping the NSX just as long, at least right now.

My '94 Caddy STS - bought new in Sept. '94 & still going strong almost 130K miles later - I swear I didn't spend a nickel on that car through 100K other than consumables (tires, brakes, belts, batteries, fluids,filters - pretty much it)
Since then however, alternator, ac compressor, steering pump, idler pulley, two sway bar brackets, ignition coil, another battery, transmission repair (shift solenoids)& the ride control shocks need replaced - still, not bad total for 130K miles & 8 1/2 years.

'94 Land Cruiser - 1 year (still have)
'96 Grand Am - 1 year (don't ask)
'96 Accord - 1 year
'00 Xterra - 1 year
'00 CLK - 7 months (still have)
'91 NSX - 3 years (stil have of course)

I have had my Lotus Europa JPS since June of 1974. It has over 100K miles. Looks and runs great. Mucho maintainence though.

Can anyone beat that!
