VIN #095 / Chassis #150 (a Blue one) just showed up in Concord, CA today........and I picked it up! Hooray for me.
Congrats as well! Love that color! It may be blue, but has a bunch of us (Nord-grey?) Green with envy! Look forward to seat of the pants (and ears) feedback.
Out of curiosity, would it be much to ask you post a list/ summarywith ~ dates of Acura official info provided from order date to delivery? Curious how they actually lived up to keeping the customer informed... (or not so as seems more the case).

I bought a new Integra GS-R from Acura of Concord way back when.
The tires were all overinflated (not just way over Acura's
recommended pressure, they were higher than the max PSI
rating molded in the sidewall).

Funny that you mentioned that. After going for an inaugural spin through some local twisties (Redwood Road for Bay Area folks), I came home and played with the settings a little bit. To my shock, the tires were 45-48 PSI all around (not over Max, but close). Door says 32 PSI. But of a bummer. I'm not worried about the pressures, but it raises the question of what else they didn't check. I stand by my comment that they all have been very nice, but smiles <> competence. I'm inclined to give benefit of doubt-- but I will raise this with them. To be honest, my first thought was "I was loving the grip, but now there'll be more!"

I almost spoke up about this before you took delivery; it would've been
interesting to check the tires on the spot and see the look on their face
when it's that far off. But I doubted they'd get it wrong on a new NSX.

I imagine there is inspection paperwork, probably a sheet with a bunch of
boxes to check (including tire pressure) and a tech's signature. Like you
say, the pressure alone isn't cause for worry but it raises the question
of what else wasn't checked (and what the dealership's word is worth).

When I bought a new Acura I was invited to tell corporate how good
the experience was. I imagine they'll definitely be checking in with
new NSX buyers also.

This NSX is the car where Acura really qualified dealers before they let them
sell it, made the dealers buy new alignment equipment, and so on. It's sad
to see a dealer not get something as basic as tire pressure right on delivery.

But more importantly, you got your car. Congratulations again--it looks great
and I wish you all the best with it.
 
You're right. We've all seen the factory videos and what they go through to build the cars. They even patented new ways to perform alignments at the factory. Seems silly to miss something like tire pressures.

To me, if you don't get one of the first 100 U.S. cars, I'm not sure if worth owning. Just kidding. Awesome that things are flowing and hopefully all will get their cars soon.

In Feb 2016 they confirmed that I was #1 on their list and would get at MSRP. They had little idea when car would arrive.
Late March "Come on in and confirm your order and put down deposit"-- no promises on timing. Guessed it could be as early as May.
April 2, 2016 "All Config locked" no further info
April though late August: no official info
Early september: "Hopefully by end of October, perhaps sooner"
A week later: "Looks like your car has been built; you should have by end of september"
Couple days later: Car released for Shipping, ETA 9/12 to 9/17
9/15: car actually left on truck; GPS truck tracking available, but ETA slipped to 9/19
Lots of GPS updates and google map queries (If he comes direct to me, it could get here early! It didn't)
9/19: arrived at dealer and I picked up.

So they never made a promise they didn't meet, but gave very little info over the summer.

per playbook 4 the serial # should be referred to as the vin #

the chassis # should be referred to as the serial #

the serial number will reflect the nth Gen 2 NSX and will not reset with model year

So based on your more recent post below:
is that 92 above a sequential serial # reflecting overall builds to date or VIN #?
in US... Are our VINs unique or in the overall world build mix?
And lastly, how does chassis # figure in or is that the serial #?

Interesting, what was the inside tire pressure on the Cluster reading?

That's what was on the cluster. I waited until the morning to set the cold pressures to 32PSI. At that point, pressures were roughly 43-45 PSI (per my gauge not cluster). I actually have not compared gauge to cluster yet.
 
That is surprising, because during the PMC tour this Summer, Clements keep saying that Quality is their number One focus.... Quality in every respect.

Not surprising at all. According to the TQI document, the tires are intentionally overinflated for shipping. It is the dealer's responsibility to adjust the tire pressure to the proper settings.
