    Seats re-visited

Forgot to mention... that pictured seat probably won't fit. Any reasonably large seat with big shoulder wings will interfere with the B-pillar behind the window. Been there, tried that. Don't buy anything unless you know for a fact that it will fit or you can return it.

    Seats re-visited

I feel your pain. I'm 6'6" and spent a lot of time researching this issue and even explored custom mounts and custom seats with a local race shop. I have the same annoyance with the lack of thigh support and the same head banging on the little lip behind the targa. I came to the...

    Too tall...

Nope, won't work with the stock seats. The bottom of the seat touches the rug already, so there's not much to work with. I'm another one of those 6'6" NSX owners. I ended up trimming the seat foam and getting the seat re-upholstered. I needed a couple of inches of headroom and a bit of...

My parked car got hit today.........

Sorry to hear that, Jeff. I hope it's not too much hassle with the insurance and getting the work done. That parking lot is always so busy after work and people get stupid... I hate parking there (especially in the X) when I stop at the Whole Foods. bryan

Anybody wanna help with O2 sensors...

Hi TomCat, I pulled both O2 sensors on my 96 when I installed Comptech headers and had no trouble. I was expecting seized seven year old sensors, but they twisted out just like they were supposed to. I later had to replace the rear one due to the same 43 or 44 code you are getting... bad O2...

    Yet another competitor

They are sold as "component cars" because there is no way they could pay for all the engineering and testing required for a federally approved automobile. It's the same reason we don't see other low volume production cars here in the States. They won't do the same level of crash testing and...

    NSX postponed again

SpeedTV/Autocar says "New NSX Postponed Again". The on-off saga of the launch of Honda’s all new supercar took another twist last week when CEO Takeo Fukui announced that Honda was putting back the launch of its Acura brand in Japan – and that the NSX replacement, which will be badged an Acura...

    Confirmed Lower Aftermarket Seats?

If you like the stock seat (except the headroom), consider getting an upholstery shop to take the stock foam out of the bottom and reupholster a thinner pad. You can't get any lower than the stock seat... the base is very thin sheet metal and it sits on the rug. I got my entire seat recovered...

    ASCC engine?

Has Honda said anything at all about the ASCC engine other than V10? Size? HP? SpeedTV speculates it might be a 3L V10 (http://www.speedtv.com/articles/automotive/newmodels/34664/). If so, everyone will whine that it's too little and not enough torque or power. I think a 400hp, 10K rpm 3L...

    EPS on 96??? Help~

Yes, you have power steering. If the EPS light is not lit, either the bulb is burnt out or the EPS control unit is disconnected. Without knowing any details, I'll guess that the previous owner had an EPS failure and pulled or disconnected the control unit. The EPS control unit is in the...

    How Tall Are You !

6'6". The stock seats were a little too tight for me. I bought an extra pair of stock seats and reupholstered the driver's side with thinner padding. It's still tight but much better on long trips.

4/8 works for me. I'm out of town 4/1.

    Ugliest Lamborghini - Miura

Re: Ugliest Lamborghini - Miura (NOT!) I think it looks great too, but I wouldn't buy one even when I win the lottery. It's just not right without the original transverse V12 layout. It's like a Ford GT with a V12 or a turbo V6. Fun, but what's the point?

    one lucky driver!

Yes, this was caused by an improperly latched gate. The car hit at just the wrong spot, forced the gate open and nailed the end of the wall. Nothing to do with SAFER barriers. No one noticed this is labeled as a Formula 1 crash? Or is this Max Mosely's latest cost savings...

Question to the folks in Raleigh

I second the recommendation on inside the beltline, although it's getting a bit pricey. I live near Five Points and my commute to Cary has been 15-20 minutes for the last 15 years. 25 minutes to the airport. 5 minutes to our small but growing downtown restaurant and club district. I'm no...
